One of the guards shouted, “Who are you? How dare you come here! Do you even know Mr. Logan’s rules?”
“I’d like to see who this Mr. Logan is supposed to be,” Waylon said coldly–and with a swift kick, sent the guard flying.
Natalie’s eyes widened in shock. Oh my god… dad actually hit someone?
Baron, on the other hand, wasn’t surprised.
Waylon might have been a businessman who rarely showed aggression, but Baron had always sensed the strength and discipline of a trained fighter in him. The man usually hid it well–but today, his fury had clearly reached its limit.
Afraid Natalie might get caught in the chaos, Baron quickly pulled her behind him.
The guard Waylon had kicked hit the ground hard and tried to curse, but before he could speak, one of Waylon’s men in black stepped forward, clamped a hand over his mouth, and dragged him away like a dead dog.
Waylon’s face was dark as thunder as he strode deeper inside.
The old pavilions and courtyards that once filled the villa area were gone–but what stood before him now made his stomach twist.
A large, open field.
Something about it felt wrong.
A tall electric fence surrounded it on all sides; the entire setup looked disturbingly like an ancient fighting pit.
Waylon’s gaze grew colder and heavier.
Baron saw it too, and his instincts immediately picked up on something more. The faint, metallic tang in the air–he recognized it instantly.
“Dad,” he murmured, “this place reeks of blood.”
Waylon glanced sharply at him. When Baron nodded in confirmation, his expression darkened even further.

“Take Natalie out of here,” Waylon ordered quietly.

Natalie blinked, startled. “Dad, why? What are you going to do? And what is this place? Why would there be such high electric fencing around it?”
Baron didn’t let her finish. “I don’t know what this is,” he said quickly, “but it’s definitely not at good place. Let’s find somewhere to hide and watch from there. Something’s about to happen. -1 can feel it.”
Natalie frowned. “But dad, Baron–from the moment we stepped into the Stone residence, haven’t we already been under its surveillance? Even if we hide, the people inside will see us on the cameras. Wouldn’t that be pointless?”
Waylon lowered his voice. “When my men entered earlier, they already took control of the surveillance system. So whatever the cameras show now–it’s up to me.”
With that, he led them toward the nearby control room.
Just as he’d said, the place was staffed entirely with his own people.
“Mr. Waylon,” they greeted in unison, their tone disciplined and respectful.
Natalie couldn’t help but feel a flash of awe. There’s still so much about Dad I don’t know.
Baron found a chair for Natalie and helped her sit, while Waylon had already taken a seat himself.
“Switch the feed to the field outside,” Waylon ordered. “I want to see exactly what this place is being used for.”
As they were adjusting the screens, one of Waylon’s men stationed outside called in.
“Mr. Waylon, several luxury cars just arrived. The passengers all look wealthy or well- connected. They say they have invitations–they’re here as guests of the estate. Should we let them in?”
Natalie and Baron exchanged a puzzled look, both turning to Waylon with curiosity and confusion.
Truthfully, Waylon was just as surprised.
The Stone residence was private property–no one outside the family was ever permitted to
enter.
But it was obvious now that Logan had long stopped respecting the Stone family’s rules.
