Chapter 111
After Teresa saw Yolanda enter Joyacre Villa, she grabbed her backpack straps and jogged toward the main hall. As she ran, Yolanda called out with a cheerful voice, “Miss Naomi, I’m home!”
The sound of Yolanda’s joy made Teresa’s heart tighten. She waited until Yolanda had gone into the hall before finally stepping up to the doorway herself. From there, Teresa could see everything happening inside.
Yolanda handed her backpack to Sharon before running to Naomi, who had just come out of the kitchen. She hugged Naomi’s leg and looked up, asking with a bright smile, “Miss Naomi, where’s Ava?”
Ava Yates was Naomi’s mother, and she had just been brought to Joyacre Villa.
Yolanda had come back to the villa specifically for this reason. She didn’t want to stay at Logan Manor. It wasn’t that she disliked Richard, but she disliked Teresa even more.
Naomi crouched down in front of Yolanda, ruffled her hair, and said gently, “She’s in the kitchen.”
Yolanda perked up, about to head for the kitchen, when Ava appeared.
Yolanda, you’re back. Come here, sweetie,” Ava said, crouching down and opening her arms. Her face beamed with a warm, loving
smile.
Yolanda immediately ran over and hugged Ava tightly, kissing Ava all over her cheek.
“Ava, you finally made it to Riverdale. I’ve missed you so much since you left last weekend. I’ve been dreaming about your food,” Yolanda
said, her voice bubbling with excitement.
The Yates family ran a business, but Ava was just a housewife
yard who hadn’t seen much of the world. Her clothes were simple and modest.
But Yolanda didn’t mind any of that. In fact, she felt closer to Ava than to Teresa.

Ava’s rough hands stroked Yolanda’s face as she said in a husky voice, “If you want it, darling, I will make you
Yolanda showered Ava with kisses again, giggling. “Thanks, Ava. You’re the absolute best.”
anything you
want.”
Just then, Charles came down from upstairs. When he saw Yolanda clinging to Ava and showering her with kisses, his face turned cold. “Yolanda, come here,” he called out in a commanding tone.
Yolanda pouted and reluctantly dragged herself over to him.
Naomi, seeing Charles’s displeased expression, assured he didn’t like Ava being so close to Yolanda. But Charles quickly put thought to rest.

Once Yolanda came over, Charles bent down and gave her a gentle lecture. “Ava just had surgery and she’s still getting better. You need to be careful around her, okay? Don’t accidentally hurt Ava, got it?”
Yolanda nodded hard. “Got it, Dad.”
Seeing this, Naomi let out a sigh of relief.
After speaking to Yolanda, Charles poured a glass of water and walked over to Ava. “Here, have some water. Just focus on getting better. while you’re here at Joyacre Villa. Don’t worry about cooking–we’ve got Sharon to help. If you want anything, just tell her.”
Ava took the glass, looking genuinely grateful. “Thank you so much, Charles.”
Charles smiled. “It’s nothing, Ava. You don’t have to thank me.”
Yolanda clung to Charles’s arm and smiled up at Ava. “Ava, just relax and enjoy your stay. After school every day, we can go for walks together, okay?”
Ava’s eyes grew misty with emotion. “You’re such a good girl.”
Just then, Naomi came over and gently supported Ava’s arm. She looked at Charles and asked, “Charles, is this too much trouble for
you?
Charles shook his head with a soft chuckle. “Not at all. Just focus on your studies. I’ll make sure Sharon takes good care of Ava while she
Teresa guessed this was probably a gift from Troy, so she just shrugged and said, “Maybe I clicked the wrong button when I ordered it.”
Monica nodded then added, “I’m off to school. Bye, Aunt Teresa.” At the door, the driver was already waiting.
Teresa stared at the giant stuffed animal, towering over any guy. She was totally stumped–she honestly didn’t know what the heck to do with it.
After a split second of hesitation, she dashed out of Sullivan Mansion, stood at the doorway, and looked around, hoping to spot the delivery guy.
Didn’t matter who sent it–she was determined to send it back to wherever it came from. But there was no sign of him anywhere.
Feeling defeated, she turned to head back inside when she bumped into a broad chest. Before she could react, a teasing voice said, “Looking for me?”
Teresa instantly recognized that voice–no doubt about it, it was Troy.
Startled, she stepped back. “Why do you keep following me around?”
Troy stood there with his arms crossed, not bothering to step closer. He looked down at her, a wicked grin lighting up his face. “Because I just can’t stop thinking about you–not for a single second.”
She scowled at him. “Troy, don’t send anything to my place again.”
Troy stood there in his black trench coat, hands shoved in his pockets, looking every bit the bad boy heartthrob. He gave her a wicked smile. “So, where should I deliver it? To your workplace?”

Teresa’s brows knitted in irritation. “I don’t want any of your gifts.”
Troy took a step closer, bending down slightly so his warm breath brushed against her face. “Then kiss me, and I’ll stop sending you gifts,” he teased.
