Chapter 134
Chapter 134
Before people could finish gossiping, Jason and Finn came down the stairs from the second floor.
As they were coming down, Charles happened to walk over from the restrooms.
The moment these three big shots showed up, the whole place went quiet; everyone started sucking up to them.
Meanwhile, Troy and his date were nowhere to be seen. Teresa hadn’t spotted them since she got back from the restroom.
When Charles came over to join Jason and Finn, Jason asked casually, “Hey, Charles, where’d you disappear to?”
Charles took the glass of red wine from Jason, gave it a swirl, and his voice was rough and low, with a hint of mischief as he said, “Saw a little kitten, so I went to mess with it for a bit.”
Jason frowned, eyeing Charles with curiosity. “A kitten? Since when did you become a cat person?”
Jason knew all too well that Charles wasn’t into cats or dogs.
Charles just shrugged, took a sip of his wine, and said vaguely, “Who knows, maybe I did.”
Jason didn’t really get what Charles was getting at, so he switched gears. “Any idea where Yolanda and Naomi are? Haven’t seen them all night.”
Charles took a sip of his wine before replying, “Naomi went looking for Yolanda.”
They’d pretty much wrapped up their business, and Jason wasn’t in the mood to stick around and listen to all the boring small talk. So he suggested, “Let’s go find them then.”
Right as Jason finished speaking, a commotion broke out by the entrance.
Someone called out, “Hey, it’s Mr. Hamilton.”
One of the girls squealed, “Oh my God, it’s Troy. He’s so hot.”
Charles and Troy were both top dogs in their social circles, but there was a key difference between them.
Charles was famous for being loyal; he only had eyes for Naomi. Troy, though, had a reputation as a ladies‘ man, charming every woman around.
Both guys were handsome and had serious clout, but women always flocked to Troy instead. ‘Who knows, maybe he’d pick me next?‘ they wondered.
Jason was getting annoyed by all the screaming. He muttered under his breath, “Dressed like some peacock–seriously, I don’t get what’s so damn handsome about him.”
Charles just shrugged. “Honestly, the guy’s got looks. Can’t deny that.”
Finn chimed in, “Yeah, I’ll give him that.”
Jason was even more pissed off now. “You two must’ve lost your minds. Seriously, are you sick or something?”
The commotion at the entrance caught Teresa and Wendy’s attention, putting all that gossip out of their minds for now.
This time. Troy walked in alone. As he made his way through the crowd, people automatically stepped aside to make way for him.
No matter who tried to talk to him, he stayed silent, his gaze locked on something ahead as he moved through the crowd. Finally, Troy came to a halt, standing right in front of a girl.
Teresa watched him and saw that the girl standing in front of Troy was the same one who’d just apologized to her earlier. A chill ran through Teresa suddenly
The place was crowded, but Troy didn’t bother hiding at all, so everyone turned to look his way.
People shot envious glances, and even the girl standing in front of Troy looked stunned, eyes wide in disbelief as she stared at him.

So many people dreamed of getting a word in with Troy, but he ignored everyone and walked straight up to that girl.
‘Wait? Does Troy actually have his eye on me?‘ the girl wondered, her heart skipping a beat. Her cheeks turned pink, and she was so nervous she could barely get a word out.
Troy looked down at her, smiling. “You’re beautiful. What’s your name?”
The girl looked a little panicked, but still answered sweetly, “Hi, Mr. Hamilton, my name is Stella Sandhurst.”
Troy raised an eyebrow and asked, “Got a boyfriend?”
Stella shook her head. “Not yet.”

The way Troy was talking left no room for doubt–it made it crystal clear what he was after. He had obviously got his eye on Stella and was fishing for details.
Troy chuckled, nodding in approval, “Not bad. You really know how to sweet–talk.”
Stella felt even more pleased with herself. She gave a small nod and said, “You flattered me, Mr. Hamilton.”
Seeing Troy just stare at the glass, Stella’s hand started to tremble–she was so nervous she could barely hold it steady. But finally, Troy took the glass.
Stella’s face lit up with a huge smile. She picked up a glass for herself, raised it to Troy’s, clinked them together, and said, “I’d like to toast you, Mr. Hamilton.”
With that, Stella downed the whole glass in one go.
“Mr. Hamilton really is a flirt. He just showed up with one girl, and now he’s already switching dates.”
“His girlfriends are like outfits in a woman’s closet; there’s always a new one, you get used to it.”
“With so many women around, who knows which one he’ll settle on? I’m dying to see who he picks in the end.”
Teresa caught every word of their gossip. She was thinking the same as everyone else—Troy was a ladies‘ man, never one to settle for just a single girl.
After Stella downed her drink, Troy couldn’t help but praise her. “Miss Sandhurst, you can really hold your liquor,”
When Stella got her phone back, she asked shyly, “Mr. Hamilton, will you be free if I call you tonight?”
Stella couldn’t help but let her imagination run wild. her cheeks flushing even deeper.
But then. Truy suddenly grinned and said, “Hope you’ll like my driver, though
Stella fraze, thinking she must ve misheard. She frowned and asked, “W–What do you mean?

Troy’s smile widened, his tone lazy and teasing. “What, not into my driver? He pulls in over a grand a day, you know.”

Stella’s face turned pale. “Mr. Hamilton, I honestly don’t know how I offended you, but why are you humiliating me like this in front of everyone?”
With all those eyes on her, Troy had put her on a pedestal, then, with just one sentence, knocked her right off it.
This kind of humiliation was even worse than getting slapped across the face in front of the whole crowd.
Troy’s face went ice–cold in a flash. He dropped the act completely, turned to the guy next to him, and held out his hand. The man handed him a small plate.
On the plate was the very same food that had just messed up Teresa’s dress. Troy lifted the plate and dumped the food straight onto Stella’s head.
The capsicol and food splattered across her hair, then slid down, soaking Stella’s pale blue dress in oily streaks.
In that moment, Stella was utterly humiliated and miserable, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Everyone who’d been watching the drama suddenly shut up.
Troy just chucked the plate to the floor like he didn’t care, grabbed a handkerchief, and wiped his hands. He shot Stella a cold, deadpan look and said, “You didn’t piss me off. I just can’t stand you. Is that a problem?”
