Lemira gazed at the Langstons standing before her, their constant reminder of how Evelina's father had saved her life echoing in her ears. In her previous life, she had taken those words to heart, never receiving the affection or concern she sought from her brothers, all because she felt indebted to Evelina's family.
She had believed it wholeheartedly, allowing them to take everything from her, even her life. But this time, she had discovered that Evelina's father was very much alive.
Could that car accident from years ago have something to do with him? Why else would he be hiding behind Evelina's shadow?
Lucian looked surprised, "Lemmy, what do you mean by that?"
Caspian glanced at her suspiciously, "Asher's been digging around for the person who fled the accident scene back then, but all we've got is a trail leading to the Sinclair family. No solid leads yet. Lemira, do you have any clues?"
Lemira gripped her phone tightly, tempted to throw the evidence right in their faces. But she held back. This wasn't the place for revelations. Besides, she didn't want to alert anyone yet.
She replied coldly, "No. I've got other things to attend to," and left the Langstons' mansion without looking back.
From a window on the second floor, Evelina watched Lemira's retreating figure. Caspian's words echoed in her mind, filling her with unease. Was it really linked to the Sinclair family?
She'd asked Asher about it before, but he'd kept her in the dark. Did he suspect her father too? A chill ran down her spine as she hurried back to her room to warn her father. They needed to be prepared, no matter what.

Lemira left the Langstons' mansion and headed straight for the café where she had an appointment. On the way, she repeatedly checked the messages from her PR team, feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety. Had they finally located Evelina's father?
Arriving at the café's private booth, she found Debby waiting. Debby turned her laptop towards Lemira. "After some digging, we found this car suspicious. It was outside the Langstons' mansion that night and later ended up at this repair shop."
