A Life Beyond Limits (Jack Holland) novel Chapter 784

Hugo's gaze was sharp, and he had stars sparkling in his eyes. He exuded an air of righteousness that was often found in main characters of television shows. At the moment, his head was lowered as he concentrated on arranging the candles.

He wore a serious expression as he made sure each candle was placed exactly where it was supposed to be. He even drew a diagram on the ground beforehand as a guide, even going so far as to measure the distance between each candle with a ruler.

The candles were arranged into the shape of a heart. Although the shape of it was a little old-fashioned, the scale of the heart was massive.

He had used over 1,000 candles to create the heart, and he had even added an extra layer of protection atop each candle to prevent the flame from going out. The candles cast a fiery glow on the faces of the onlookers, adding to the warm and romantic atmosphere.

After Hugo was done arranging the candles, he made his way over to a flashy Lamborghini and popped open the trunk. In the next moment, countless roses spilled out from the trunk, making the surrounding women scream in excitement at how beautiful the flowers were. There were red, white, and blue roses, giving off the illusion that there was an endless sea of roses in the trunk.

It wasn't just the Lamborghini, beautiful roses also spilled out from the trunks of the Bugatti, Ferrari, and other cars that were parked nearby. An alluring fragrance wafted through the air. The women let out shrill screams as they whipped their phones out to record the breathtaking sight.

Hugo then beckoned his friends to step over the candles to place fresh flowers within the heart. The flowers were also arranged into the romantic shape of a heart, leaving only a small path at the very center of it. Hugo planned to lead Bella there later before confessing his feelings to her.

The entire scene was romantic and heartwarming, raising the anticipation of everyone who was present. They were excited to witness the confession that would take place at any moment now.

They began to fantasize about the undoubtedly wonderful scene that would unfold before them soon.

A handsome man would get down on one knee in the spectacular ocean of flowers and confess his love toward a beautiful woman. The couple would be surrounded by a crowd that would be eager to give them their blessings.

It was a romantic scene that should only exist within the pages of a fairytale.

Not only had he created a romantic atmosphere that also boasted of his wealth, but he had also brought so many friends to aid him in his endeavor. Even the most hardened person's heart would melt in the face of someone as handsome, rich, gentle, and caring as Hugo.

Jack could feel his own heart wavering, and he kept reminding himself that he had to give Bella his blessings.

However, he was still a man with a selfish heart when it came down to it. The scene before him ended up being too difficult for him to accept. He was reluctant to let Bella be snatched away by Hugo, since she was his girlfriend once upon a time, and he started coming up with a plan to ruin Hugo's confession.

He was unwilling to see Bella throw herself into the arms of another man and knew that it would be inevitable if she accepted Hugo's confession. He looked around, his eyes landing on a pot of morning glories that looked presentable enough.

Jack decided that he would use the morning glories to confess as well, to ruin Hugo's chances. Although the morning glories looked quite plain and boring, they were better than nothing.
