A Vow of Deception, A Vow of Revenge novel Chapter 169

"What are you talking about? What opportunity?" Celia snapped, impatience flickering in her voice.

"The chance to finally get rid of Winona, of course!"

At that, Celia's eyes lit up. "Are you serious?"

This man had been telling her for ages he couldn't find Winona, even after she'd tipped him off that Winona was actually Miss Thorne. Still, he'd insisted he couldn't find the right moment to strike.

Taking someone out in London wasn't exactly a walk in the park, and this was Miss Thorne they were talking about.

She'd originally given him two weeks.

But with everything that had happened lately, she hadn't even bothered to chase him up about it.

Now, for the first time, his words sparked a glimmer of hope.

"Of course I'm serious. I found out that Thorne Group is sending Winona as their representative to that big international business summit."

Celia's fingers curled tightly around her phone.

Suddenly, she remembered Tyson telling her he was going abroad for an important conference.

So, that was it. He was going to see Winona.

"She should've already left for the summit today. I'll be flying out soon myself. Once we're out of London, it'll be much easier to get to her." The man's voice trembled with excitement and anticipation. "Celia, can't you… praise me a little?"

Celia let out a cold laugh. "You want compliments before you've even done the job? You think she'd go overseas without a bodyguard? And don't forget, she's got Elvis with her."

"I'll figure something out, Celia. Trust me." The man's tone turned earnest. "You told me she's been scheming against you, getting you pushed out. I won't let her get away with it. I'll make her pay for you."
