A Vow of Deception, A Vow of Revenge novel Chapter 59

Although she truly didn't want the siblings to fall out with each other, she also couldn't accept the idea of them actually becoming a couple.

What would that do to the Goodwin family's reputation?

Celia shot Tyson a glance, a bitter laugh escaping her lips.

He wasn't really her brother at all.

The truth was, they were legally married…

When they got home, Simone immediately made Celia a bowl of sweet, comforting soup, then bustled about the kitchen, preparing all her favorite dishes.

But Celia had no appetite. After forcing down the soup, she trudged listlessly back to her bedroom.

Tyson followed right on her heels.

"Ty!"

Celia threw herself into his arms, standing on tiptoe, reaching up to kiss him.

But Tyson turned his head away, dodging her.

"You—" Celia's expression darkened. "Are you disgusted by me? Is it because I spent time in jail? Is that why you won't touch me?"

"That's not what I mean." Tyson frowned. "Celia, let go of me."

"No!" Celia only tightened her grip around him. "Ty, you're acting so strange. Don't you love me anymore? I'm your—your wife!"

Tyson was quiet for a moment, then finally spoke. "Celia, actually, there's something I wanted to discuss with you."

"What is it?" Celia looked up at him, puzzled.

"Since you came back to the country, your ex-husband hasn't bothered you again, has he?" Tyson's voice was gentle. "I think… it's time we finalize our divorce."

All the color drained from Celia's face.
