Just like Osvaldo had said, he left for his trip with his lawyers and was yet to return.
Penny on the other hand spent most of her time in the lab with Darlington and other times in her room responding to her teams messages as they prepared for the biggest science exhibition of the year.
Her name has already rang bells across the globe, and though the higher ups were yet to see her as a threat since she didn’t have an identity yet, her good work haven’t gone unnoticed either.
There were several talks about who she was already and how she would be of good use to their union.
Penny now lying on the bed stared at their phone screen like she was watching an interesting movie.
She has sent her father series of text that he hasn’t responded to yet. It’s obvious he was angry at her.
Maybe now is not the best time to meet him. She had lied to him that day. He has every right to be upset with her. But she hoped he wouldn’t stay mad for long.
She stared at her laptop, watching her team’s preparations for the big event. They had sent her a few videos of the event location and it looked so nice.
They had also informed her about Ariana and her attempt to bribe her and she has rejected every offer they made. Right now, the Peterson’s were threatening her with the Adkins wealth and Penny couldn’t help but laugh.
She couldn’t wait to shut them all up.
For years, everyone only saw her as the fat unimportant girl who does nothing but occupy space around.
In less than two weeks, the world would find out who Miss Pen really is in the biggest science event of the year. So many government officials will be present, including her mentor and many more.
And for the first time in a while... Penny was super excited.
Penny immediately brought out her cellphone and sent a text to her assistant.
"I love it." She clicked send and in less than a second, another message popped up.
"That is good news boss." The response came in quickly.
"I was beginning to think... Maybe you haven’t made up your mind about your apprentice since so many people passed the test." Another text came in and Penny read through it. She frowned slightly.
"What is this fool getting at?" She murmured starill staring at her screen.
"In my opinion, I think it would be nice if you picked Ariana Adkins. She’s going to bring so many opportunity for you, especially because she’s an Adkins. That alone is an advantage." Penny smiled at the text.
What Adkins was Ariana? She’s a Peterson, they aren’t even in the chart for prominent figures in the country.
"But her score is the lowest amongst the other student." Penny texted back. Why would she want a standing that barely know what She’s doing.
Every project Ariana has ever written was done by her, why would she want her?
