The soft click of heels echoed in the halls as Osvaldo strode toward the dining room. His dark hair spilled over his shoulders, golden eyes glimmering with excitement. His lips curved into a smile.

His Penguin had cooked for him.

Osvaldo felt like the luckiest man alive. Not only was she beautiful and soft in his arms, she was now his little chef too. The thought of her tiny hands chopping, stirring, seasoning just for him made his chest swell. He couldn’t wait to taste the "goodness" she had made.

But the moment he stepped into the dining room, his smile vanished. Sitting there, comfortably chatting with his Penguin, was Xavier Bloodsworth.

Osvaldo’s jaw clenched. He stared at her laugh wholeheartedly to another man. Even though Xavier was her father, to Osvaldo he was another man.

He hated sharing. Especially her smiles, they belonged to him only.

Still, his heart fluttered again when his eyes fell on the dishes laid on the table. The thought that she had cooked all of this just for him softened him. He moved straight to her side, ignoring Xavier completely.

"Penguin," he murmured, his voice gentle.

"Her name," Xavier cut in, his voice sharp, "is Penelope. I’d appreciate it if you showed my daughter some respect."

Osvaldo turned his head slowly, golden eyes locking with Xavier’s gray ones. He wasn’t one for arguments; he preferred action. But this man was really asking for it.

"I’ll call my wife whatever name I desire. You can never understand things about marriage father in law." Osvaldo gave a smug smile on that made Xavier’s blood boil.

"That’s enough, Father," Penny sighed, rushing to Osvaldo’s side. She held his sleeve, smiling bashfully as she helped him into the chair beside her. Xavier rolled his eyes at her silly acts.

It was clear his daughter was so in love with this man. What pained him was why it had to be him. Why not someone else? Does it really have to be Osvaldo Adkins? A boy he hated with passion.

Xavier Bloodsworth has always been used to people bowing to him, Osvaldo is the first man that has ever challenged him.

Both men kept their eyes locked on each other, silent sparks crackling across the table. They didn’t like each other, and both knew it.

"Here, taste this. It’s my first time cooking," Penny said eagerly pushing the bowl of soup to Osvaldo before dishing out her father soup.

Osvaldo finally dragged his eyes from his father in law. He would need to teach him a little lesson so that he doesn’t mess with him next time.

He picked the spoon from the table and dug into the soup his penguin had prepared. He pushed Xavier’s negativity aside and gave his full attention back to his Penguin again. Osvaldo smiled staring at the soup.

The thought of his Penguin preparing all of these just for him made his heart flutter.

"My Penguin prepared it for me. It’s only normal I be the first one to taste it father in law." He said with a smile and Xavier clenched his hands into a fist.

This boy was too arrogant for him!

"Osvaldo." Penny called.

"There are other ways to communicate boy! You use words not acting like a madman."

"Father," Penny scolded, glaring at him. She had finally concluded she wasn’t living with men. These two are babies in men bodies. She didn’t know what else to do to get them to get along.

She cared for them so much.

"But he started it," Xavier muttered.

"I only asked to be the first," Osvaldo replied casually. "You’re in my home, Father-in-law. Don’t make me uncomfortable."

"If you don’t want me here, then give me back my daughter."

"You..."

"Enough!" Penny suddenly raised her voice, her blue eyes flashing. "Stop it, both of you! You’re acting like children."
