"Good, keep him far away for the rest of the night. I cannot have him harming my daughter-in-law." Abby said and Hughes only nodded. If only her Miss Penny listened and didn’t follow them. Who knows what they’ve done to her now?
And if only her master Osvaldo cared even for the slightest. This would not be happening. Hughes wondered how he would react if he found out by morning that his Penguin was gone.
Serves him right. She thought.
"What are you doing there, lead her to her room," Abby yelled at the older woman who hurriedly led Ariana up the stairs.
"Stay safe Ariana. And don’t come out till morning." Abby said to her daughter-in-law who nodded as she walked away.
This was her moment. If she survives through the night, then she will be the true Mrs Adkins. Abby and her family will also bow to her. As long as everyone in Owlsgrave.

"How can you leave your husband unattended Penguin?" Osvaldo’s large imposing frame stood before the door.
Penny sighed. She had no idea why she felt relieved that Osvaldo was here now.
Without thinking, Penny rushed towards him, shutting the door behind him in a hurry. Her hands trembled as they twisted the lock into place.
"How did you get in here, Mr. Osvaldo?" she whispered, voice sharp and breathless.
"I walked," Osvaldo said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
He moved past her, calm and confident. His footsteps were soft, but every step made Penny feel like the ground was shifting under her feet.
Chris or the rest of the family might be back here at any minute and she didn’t think this was the right time to show them the man they all thought was mad was semi-mad. Not until she heals him completely.
He reached the bed and sat, leaning back slightly. His hands rested on either side of him, fingers spread on the blanket. His legs parted just enough to look relaxed, but his gaze? That was locked on her.
"They cannot see you this way, Mr Osvaldo. You should never leave the Penthouse. Hurry back before they come here." Penny said in a hushed tone to the man who seemed so relaxed even if he was in serious trouble.
Osvaldo stared at her in silence wondering what was going through her head and why she was so scared of those people. She had signed the golden contract, she was his wife.
Those people didn’t have the right to kick her out, yet she somehow allowed it. What game is this little woman playing?
"Did you forget your punishment Penguin?" He asked calmly.
Penny’s lips pressed in thin line as she stared at him. She was talking about something so important and here he is thinking of the punishment.
Immediately the door knob twisted, but it didn’t open because Penny had locked it from inside. A silent knock sounded. "Open the door, Penelope." He said.
