“What?” Her face instantly turned pale. Her hands shook, spilling the liquid on Juliette, who winced in pain.

“Prof. Kendrick?” Juliette whispered, unhappy.

But she ignored her, snatched the phone, and read the expulsion notice posted by Dr Miracle. She felt dizzy as blood rushed to her head.

She couldn’t stand steady and fell back into her chair.

“How is this possible? Why would this happen?”

It was completely sudden. There had been no warning.

“Who did this?!” she yelled at her students, her hair messy, all elegance gone. “Who offended Paradise Pharma?!”

The students shook their heads in confusion. “Prof. Kendrick, we don’t know what Paradise Pharma is. What is it?”

In her panic, Rosalie forgot. Only the top figures in medicine knew about Paradise Pharma Each year, it provided medical resources to major hospitals and families.

The Kendrick family had outperformed the other three big medical families this past year only because of Paradise Pharma’s support.
