After my death, my husband who had wanted to divorce went insane. novel Chapter 21

Cooper flipped through the stack of evidence, which was all records of Dixie dining and drinking with other men abroad, detailed by the day, even listing gambling and prostitution.

He had once believed Dixie was merely a pitiful victim of domestic abuse, but never imagined she had been this disgraceful behind the scenes.

Watching her being taken away in an ambulance, Cooper couldn’t help but click his tongue.

Elsie had thought her scheme would shield her son from blame. Still, under a unanimous shareholder vote at Armitage Group, Cooper was thrown out.

His phone buzzed with company alerts, and the moment he saw them, the world spun; he

fainted.

After leaving the courthouse, Kevin truly did take me to the restaurant I had long dreamed of.

“How did you know?” I asked, puzzled.

Kevin had already booked a spacious private room, and the entire place was done in my favorite Morandi palette.

‘Let’s not talk about that now. You’ve been exhausted for so long, try the food here,” Kevin said gently holding my hand as he guided me to sit.

wanted to call Ava to join us. Still, Kevin had already anticipated it; he had reserved a private room just for her and ordered all her favorite dishes.

‘Come on, let’s toast. You’ve been through a lot lately, Sabrina.”

I took a sip, and the wine was exquisite. Every dish was delicate and full of flavor, perfectly suiting my taste.

‘Thank you, Kevin. Let’s call this our reunion dinner after all these years,” I said, pouring him another drink.

Kevin took out a bouquet and a gift he had prepared. I understood what he meant.

‘You don’t have to feel any pressure. If you’re not ready, we’ll still be friends.”

While I was still lost in thought, Ava walked in from the other room, a rib in her mouth.

‘Sabrina, Kevin is good to you. I think you should consider him. Besides, Tanner and Auntie get along so well; if you two end up together, it’ll be double the happiness,” Ava said while chewing on her rib.

She sat close beside me, praising Kevin nonstop while still happily eating.

Kevin and I couldn’t help but laugh. He immediately ordered a few more dishes just for her.

When she mentioned my mother, I suddenly remembered that ever since Tanner took her abroad, she hadn’t updated me on her condition.

I quickly gave her a call, and Ava leaned in to listen.

“Mom, how was the surgery? When are you coming back?”

Her voice sounded faint and tired. Then Tanner took over the call.

“Don’t worry, Sabrina, we’ll be back in two days.”

“I already know about you and Kevin. You don’t need to worry about me or Annie, we’ll support you no matter what.”

My face flushed. I tilted my head back and drank a few cups in a row. Ava and Kevin exchanged a knowing smile.

On the day Tanner and my mother flew abroad, Gaten quietly tailed them.

On the plane, Tanner gently tucked a blanket around her shoulders and handed her a neck pillow, his bag packed with more medicine than usual.

Mother glanced at him with visible relief. Though uneasy on her first flight, Tanner’s calm presence soothed her, especially when he reached over and gently patted her hand.

A few rows back, Gaten rolled his eyes at the scene, his expression sour as he watched the two sitting so comfortably.
