Bound by Magic, Married by Fate novel Chapter 89

Chapter 89

Silas and the rest of the men rushed over, intending to apprehend Caelus, but he would never surrender without a fight.

He grabbed the remote control and warned everyone, The moment I press this red button, every single one of you on this ship will die with me.

Sure enough, Silas and the others didn’t dare move further. Lucius pulled Valerie over, trying to shield her behind him.

However, Valerie shoved Lucius away and said to Caelus, Go ahead and press it.

Lucius scolded in a low voice, Can’t you just hide?

Valerie replied, Why would I do that?

Lucius was speechless at that response. Wasn’t it a man’s duty to protect the woman he cared about?

When the words the woman he cared aboutpopped up in his head, Lucius came to a startling realization. Had he already come to regard Valerie as that important to him?

Agitated, Caelus roared, If you’re so unafraid of dying, then I’ll drag you all down with me!

He slammed the red button, waiting for an explosion to rock the cruise ship.

However, the expected explosion didn’t happen. The entire ship stayed as quiet as a grave.

Since it didn’t happen the first time, Caelus pressed the button again and again. What’s going on? Why aren’t any of the bombs going off?

Valerie smiled slyly. Because I had someone throw all the flammables into the sea.

Just then, Keane arrived with a group of men. Every location Ms. Collins provided was accurate. All the bombs have been dismantled.

Lucius never expected Keane to have been secretly working under Valerie’s orders. He asked Valerie, How did you know there were bombs on the ship?

Valerie didn’t hide it. When I was fighting against Sonia, I took a stroll through the ship’s network backend and noticed some unusual spots. So, I asked Keane to take care of it.

Her feigned fainting and getting caught had purely been so she could enjoy watching the

chaos unfold.

Caelus never expected that boarding this ship would turn him into the biggest joke of all.

Catching everyone off guard, he pulled one last minibomb from his pocket and hurled it

straight at Lucius without any hesitation. No matter what, I always keep one last trick up my sleeve. Lucius, die with your woman!

Silas cried out in alarm, Mr. White, watch out for the bomb!

With a loud boom, the bomb exploded. The force of the blast hurled Lucius and Valerie into the sea together.

Before hitting the water, Luciusleg was grazed by shrapnel. The searing pain left him too weak to swim back up. His unbalanced body sank, and his vision blurred more and more. In the haze, he seemed to make out a figure swimming toward him.

It was Valerie.

With no oxygen in the water, Lucius was already suffocating. His chest was in agony, suffering from the brutal effects of hypoxia.
