Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 176

Upon stepping into the office, Giselle saw Donovan buried in paperwork.

Donovan's eyes narrowed at Giselle's intrusion.

She walked straight up to him and said coldly, "I'm here about my dog. What medicine did you use last time? Why has the illness relapsed?"

Donovan didn't even glance at her. He continued reading his documents, treating her like she wasn't there.

"I don't have time to argue with you today," Giselle said.

She moved to stand directly in front of him. Even though she was here to ask for help, her tone was firm. "It took everything in me to come here. If it weren't for my dog…"

A loud bang rang out.

Before she could finish, Donovan slammed his pen on the desk so hard that it snapped in half.

"Don't talk to me about that damn dog again!" he snapped. His face darkened grimly as he continued, "Get out! I don't want to see you again!"

He was tired of her only looking for him because of the dog.

He felt like the dog mattered more than he ever had to her. The thought infuriated him so much that he didn't want to listen to her or argue with her. He just wanted her gone.

However, Giselle didn't give up but softened her tone slightly.

"Donovan, I'm begging you. If you want revenge, just take it out on me. Kill me if you want, but don't harm my dog like this! Just tell me what was in the medicine! Was it the right drug or not?"

Without saying a word, Donovan called for the administrative director to send security upstairs.

Less than five minutes later, two security guards arrived at Donovan's office. Following Donovan's signal, they politely but forcefully tried to drag Giselle out.
