Giselle turned around and found herself staring at a bald man with a brutish face. He leered at her, speaking in a language from somewhere in the Southeast that she couldn't understand. However, his gestures and the way his eyes roamed over her made his intent all too clear—he wanted her to entertain him.
"My apologies, sir," she said in Edevanian as she tried to break free from his hold. "I'm just the medic here. I don't take customers."
Yet, the bald man, with his rough skin and mean features, wanted her. He shoved aside the woman he had chosen and dragged Giselle into the room beside them.
Giselle felt sick just looking at him and refused to let him force himself on her. Hence, she decided to run out and find one of the handlers to explain her situation.
The moment he started undressing, she bolted for the door. However, she had barely taken two steps when the bald man seized her, slapped her hard across the face, and shoved her to the ground.
Pain shot through her elbow as it scraped against the ground, making her grit her teeth as everything around her spun.
The bald man was about to pull down his pants and take her right there when a familiar figure appeared at the door. It was Orin.
The moment he took in what was happening, he rushed inside and helped Giselle to her feet. "She's mine," he said coldly, placing himself squarely between her and the bald man. "She's off limits. Choose someone else."
"I want her!" the bald man snapped. "I've seen all the others, and she's the only one I'm most satisfied with. I'll pay double, so let me use her. Or better yet, we can share her!"
Orin didn't let the money tempt him. He turned him down flatly, "Even if you offered ten times the price, my answer's still no. If that bothers you, you can enjoy a few more women for what you're paying. But you can't lay a hand on her."
