Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 340

In Donovan's arms, Giselle turned to face him. She cupped his cheeks and rose on her tiptoes, kissing him again with fervor. The kiss deepened until the two of them lost themselves in it, eventually tumbling back onto the bed.

Nearly a year had passed since their bitter split, but now they were married. Sex had been off the table, yet with their hearts finally laid bare, their old passion quickly returned.

When Donovan undressed her, he found her skin as flawless as ever. She still felt tight as ever—there were no traces to show she had been defiled by others.

Unable to restrain himself, he rained kisses over every inch of her body.

Though Giselle had repeatedly claimed that after being sold to that place, she'd been with hundreds of men, he'd never truly cared. Even if she had been with thousands—or even tens of thousands of men—he could still act as if nothing had happened.

Because nothing mattered more than the fact that she had come back to him alive and whole.

For a man of Donovan's stature, he had indulged in every desire and had the world at his fingertips. Virginity, something the common folk clung to, was meaningless to him.

It was like a billionaire casually slipping on a pair of cheap flip-flops and eating at a snack stall—it was a pursuit not of status, but of freedom and comfort.

The two of them gave themselves over completely, exploring every corner and releasing the passion that had been suppressed for too long.

At last, they collapsed, drenched in sweat. With their bodies pressed together, they drifted into sleep.

It wasn't until noon that Donovan was roused by the chime of incoming emails. Propping himself against the headboard with a cigarette in one hand, he replied to a few work messages with the other.

Once he was done, his gaze fell on the woman beside him. She was sprawled across the bed, still fast asleep.

He reached out and brushed aside the strands of hair that clung to Giselle's cheek, his gaze softening as he studied her face.

She loved to sleep in, and her sleeping posture was always unruly. Sometimes, she was sprawled face down, and sometimes she slept diagonally across the bed. There were even times when she slept rolling from the headboard to the foot of the bed.
