Anne’s relentless WhatsApp messages kept coming, causing Donovan’s phone notifications to ring persistently, waking him from his half–asleep state. Annoyed, he snatched his phone back from Giselle. Upon checking it, he realized what Giselle had sent using his phone. 

Gazing at the photo on the screen, his thick eyebrows furrowed, and his expression immediately became menacing, with a sharp motion, he tossed the phone onto the bedside table next to him 

“What on earth do you mean by sending this nonsense? 

His eyes burned with intense anger. The photo Giselle had sent had clearly disturbed him, and he looked on the verge of confronting her once more. Each time, any sense of enjoyment and calm he experienced was utterly shuttered by her chaotic behavior afterward. 

Giselle had anticipated this kind of response. Maintaining her calm and collected appearance, she casually remarked, “Didn’t you end the engagement with her? Why is it a problem if I send her a picture like this?” 

He swiftly rolled out of bed, dressed himself, and quickly reverted to his cold, unyielding demeanor. 

“My engagement decisions or whom I choose to marry are none of your concern. Don’t think you can achieve your goals by resorting to such petry and immature Itarties to disrupt my life.” 

Cesting her one last frosty look, he added, “All Tean offer you is money. Take care. 

Upon hearing this, Giselle’s easygoing smile stiffened. After a brief moment of emotional descent, she quickly rearranged her expression into a smile and seized the chance to push further.
