Chapter 82
Donovan had cancelled a dull dinner engagement just to get all work early and be home by six, only to be greeted by a table of culinary disasters.
Giselle knew she needed to do some damage control, So she sat down next to him, wrapped her arms around his neck, and began coaxing him sweetly.
“Hey, don’t be mad, okay? This was my first attempt at a proper dinner. I used to be only good at malding bacon, eggs, and instant noodles.
“Come on, you’re a CEO. I couldn’t just feed you peasant food like bacon and eggs, so I went for the fancy stuff like fish, shrimp, pork chops, and honey barbecue ribs… I just didn’t realize cooking was this handl
“But don’t wony, I promise I’ll improve every day, Givene till mot’s end and I’ll be serving a banquet fit for a king!”
Donovan remained silent. He lifted his eyes slightly, meeting her stuming face. Seelog Giselle act linneently and gently, he found his irritation slowly fading
If only you were this obedient from the beginning,” he muttered, his gaze dark and deep as he studied her.
Donovan lifted her chin with his fingers. He gently kissed the bridge of her nose, then let lits lips find hers, naturally, slipping into a kiss.
Compared to the failed dishes, she stirred his appetite far more
Giselle feared Donovan might starve since no housekeepers were around and her cooking was inedible. So, she ordered gourmet takeout from a high–end
restaurant.
Finally, he got a satisfying dinner.
After the meal, Donovan went to his study for a video conference with some foreigners. Meanwhile, Giselle cleaned up the kitchen and began washing his clothes. Hisclothes were all worth tens of thousands and were rarely worn more than once. The housekeepers usually hand–washed them and ironed them until they were completely crease–free
Luckily, Donovan loved cleanliness, and his wom clothes weren’t dicty at all, making them easy to wash.
