“This is the explicit video that surfaced during our engagement party. The police conducted an Investigation after we reported it, and this is the result.” Anne sat by the bedside and took the initiative to lay out several printed documents right in front of Donovan, 

He had long since stopped caring about the incident and had no interest in the result. But now that she’d shoved the papers in front of him, he gave them a quick glance 

She worried he wouldn’t have the patience to read, so she explained, “The police traced the video’s source through technical analysis and interrogated the staff responsible for the projection that day. In the end, they confirmed it was Giselle who bribed someone to play the clip. 

“The police had identified the woman in the video too. It was Giselle. She simply used face–swapping technology to superimpose my face over hers. 

“The following few pages are her court summons. We actually hired a lawyer and were ready to press charges. According to the law, her actions could get her at least two years in prison. But my father couldn’t bear to do that. He said we’re all family and persuaded us to let it go. That’s why I never told you. 

“The only reason I’m saying this now is because I found out you and her. Her voice trembled slightly before continuing, “I’m only showing you this so you know that she was the woman in that video. Her personal life is far messier than you think! Those two men in the video weren’t the only ones. There were many others.” Donovan stared at the evidence from the police report. His expression remained indifferent and detached as he listened to her explanation. However, a storm had begun to stir in his heart. 

She pulled out her phone and tapped on a photo after seeing no reaction from him. “Take a look at this if you still don’t believe me!” 

With that, she put her phone in front of him.
