Chapter 95
Donovan took a deep breath and turned his gaze away, feeling even more conflicted inside. He might have felt better about it if she were still the same person who was openly scheming against him, forceful, and unreasonable. He could at least reject her without hesitation.
However, she had switched tactics to use emotion instead of force now. That once wild and untamed face was now filled with tenderness and affection, making it so much harder for him to respond.
“Alright. Let’s talk about it after you’re discharged,” Giselle didn’t want to hear a rejection and wisely changed the subject. “Are you hungry? Do you want to eat something?”
“Anything is fine.”
“How about some fruit?” she got out of bed and saw that most of the fruits on the table needed to be cut. She found it too much of a hassle, so she picked up a banana.
It was an imported banana from Paguamo that was far better than the one grown locally. She peeled one and was initially intending to take a bite before a mischievous thought crept in
“Here, have a banana.” She leaned in and held the peeled banana up to his lips.
He instinctively opened his mouth and expected her to feed him a piece. But she suddenly shoved the entire banana in his mouth playfully while he wasn’t paying attention!
He nearly choked to death. He slapped her hand away and glared at her turtously as he cursed. “Are you insane?”
She burst out laughing when she saw the struggling look on his face,
He gave her a speechless look. He would make her pay for that if he weren’t still in recovery.
Another seemingly calm week had passed.
