Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1036

The persistent situation of this would only make it difficult for her to bring up the matter of divorce in front of them!

Amelie began to wonder if George and Alice were going to blame her for divorcing Patrick one day.

However, at the same time, she could not find any valid reason to stop Patrick from visiting George.

She must not forget the fact that those medical specialists who were responsible for George's treatment were hired by Patrick.

Amelia could not help feeling frustrated. Every time she was always one step behind of Patrick's careful plan. Patrick must have foreseen that she would fall into his trap again.

He made such a calculative move by extending his influence to those she had close ties with. Right at this moment, it was crucial for George to rely on his help.

Amelia heaved a sigh behind Alice. She then walked towards Patrick and said faintly, "Thank you for helping my dad to the washroom."

Patrick forced a smile on his face as he replied, "You're welcome."

If it were not for George and Alice who were also present at the scene, he would have pulled her into his arms and shut her mouth with his lips. Otherwise, she seemed to forget that she was not supposed to be distantly polite towards him.

Upon receiving his invasive stare, Amelia could not help feeling restless. She shifted her gaze to elsewhere in avoidance of him before she said, "I'll take over the wheelchair. I feel like bringing my dad to have a walk downstairs."

Pausing, she sought assurance from Alice warily, "Can I, Aunt Alice?"

Alice smiled, "I can't ask for more."

Upon getting Alice's approval, Amelia glanced at Patrick again.

Seeing that his grip was still on the wheelchair, Amelia had to remind him again, "Can you please let go of your hand? I want to bring my dad for a walk."

Patrick offered enthusiastically, "I'll come with you." "No!" Amelia did not hesitate to reject his offer. She emphasized, "I need a word with my dad. Only two of us for my secret sharing session!"

Patrick could feel his heart sinking. Perhaps he thought of the fact that Amelia had never shared her secrets with him so far.

Fortunately, George was Amelia's father after all.

Upon convincing himself that this was still within his acceptable level, Patrick decided to hand over the wheelchair to her.

Amelia took over the handle before she said, "We shall be back in a while."

Patrick responded in brief, "Alright. I'll wait for you."

Just as she was wheeling George around and bypassing Alice, Amelia exchanged a look with her.

Alice winked back at her in a gesture of understanding. Again, she reassured Amelia that she would not leak any news regarding Apex Construction Corporation and that the Eastern District project had signed the contract.

While wheeling George, Amelia took a lift and came to the circular garden on the first floor of the hospital. She took George for two rounds circling the garden before she found a spot for her to sit down and rest.

Followingly, she held George's hand gently and said, "Dad, I have a secret that I've been wanting to tell you for sometime."

George's pupils wobbled a little as if he was encouraging her to continue.

Hence, Amelia led his land to her stomach and placed it against her belly.

Beaming, she declared to George, "I'm now carrying Patrick's child in my belly. Dad, The Ramsay Family is going to welcome a new member! Do you hear me?"

Patrick was not in a hurry to leave. Instead, he turned around and asked Alice thoughtfully, "Aunt Alice, do you need me to carry dad onto his bed?"

Alice nodded smilingly, "Sure."

Amelia had came to notice that Alice was no longer distantly polite towards help offered by Patrick. In the past, she used to be afraid of troubling him. This was certainly not a good sign for Amelia.

She could feel her heart sinking melancholy.

Just as Amelia was engaging in her own thought, Patrick had already gotten himself ready to carry George. Throwing one hand underneath George's shoulder, another hand of him came under his knees in support. With such a posture, Patrick managed to carry George from his wheelchair at ease.

George's weight had been reducing drastically ever since he fell terminally ill. That was why Patrick could carry him onto his bed as if he was weightless.

Amelia and Alice thought of going over to offer him a helping hand. However, they soon came to realize that it was effortless for Patrick to carry George on both of his hands. Had they been coming forward, not only they would help nothing, they might even trouble him. At the thought of this, they decided that it would be best for them to leave it for Patrick.

In the blink of an eye, Patrick had already covered a blanket on George's knees.

Alice startled for some time before she murmured, "Amelia, I just mentioned to Patrick the fact that your father is suffering from arthritis. Hence, it is uncomfortable for him to stay in an air-conditioned room. I had not thought that he will remember it by heart and cover blanket for your father. He's such a thoughtful person!"

Amelia remained silence at her words. She was no longer sure of how she should respond to this.

She wondered if she was supposed to praise him for being considerate or that he was such a cunning and calculative person in reality.

Just as they were about to head towards their car after coming out from the lift, Patrick asked all in a sudden, "What had you told dad?"

Amelia's eyes flickered as she stammered, "Just an update of the company."
