In order to avoid unnecessary conflict between Patrick and Kaiden, Amelia hurriedly came to the Lamborghini. She then opened the door and got into the car without hesitation.

"Patrick, you're here." While fastening her seatbelt, Amelia said, "Hurry up. Let's go and meet our grandparents."

This was the first time that Patrick ever saw Amelia getting into his car in a hurry.

He tried to recall the scene he saw when he first arrived.

Amelia was clearly standing next to the Ferrari parked a few feet in front of his car. It seemed like she was bidding farewell to the Ferrari owner.

"But who's in the Ferrari?"

Patrick could not help but wonder.

He pretended as if he had not suspect anything and ignited the car engine. Upon bypassing the Ferrari which was still around the corner, he took a side glance at it in attempt to figure out who was the car owner.

The Ferrari that was owned by Kaiden had all the windows tinted. Only the person who was in the car would be able to see through the window while the outsiders could see nothing of the car interior from outside.

Therefore, Patrick's attempt was to no avail.

However, what Patrick did not know was that almost at the same time the owner of the Ferrari was looking in his direction to figure out who was the owner of the Lamborghini.

Similarly, Kaiden's attempt too was unsuccessful as the windows of the Lamborghini were specially tinted before.

Kaiden only knew that Amelia had gotten into the Lamborghini at lightning speed and left him behind without a doubt.

He was not feeling so good about it.

This feeling was consuming him as if he could feel himself suffocating. At that moment, he was driven by an impulse to speed up and overtake the Lamborghini so that he could get Amelia out of the car and send her home himself.

Both men whose questions in their head had not been answered secretly remembered by heart the registration number of the cars of each other. They believed that they were going to find out each other's identities soon.

Upon Patrick's Lamborghini bypassing Kaiden's Ferrari, Amelia could feel heart skipping a beat. She was worried that once Patrick realized that it was Kaiden who owned the Ferrari, he was going to knock into him without a doubt.

Fortunately, the worst that she contemplated had not happened. After bypassing the Ferrari, Patrick made a turn at the end of the road and headed in direction of The Hopper Mansion.

Even so, Amelia could tell that it was not a coincidence that Patrick had to bypass Kaiden's Ferrari.

Precisely speaking, both of them were supposed to head towards two completely different directions.

Patrick went after Kaiden's Ferrari because he wanted to figure out who was the one driving.

Amelia and Patrick remained in dead silence.

Amelia had nothing to say while Patrick struggled to speak out of his mind.

A few moments later, their car showed up at the gate of The Hopper Mansion.

Upon recognizing the owner of the Lamborghini, the security guards hurriedly pushed the gate opened so that the driver could proceed driving into the courtyard.

At the sight of the greeneries in the courtyard, Amelia's gaze went cold as they reminded her of some unpleasant memories.

She still remembered that she was here on a previous occasion to borrow money from Howard in order to look for a way out of the financial crisis of Apex Construction Corporation. However, she had not expected that Eve would be the one who showed up and greeted her arrival with two pails of water. All of a sudden, her enthusiasm had died down in disappointment.

Having in mind that Sissi was now imprisoned by Howard along with the fact that she was pregnant, this had all led to Patrick's pity towards her.

As for Amelia, her ruthless words last night had immediately shaped her as someone cruel and doughty in the eyes of Patrick.

Knowing that a harsh approach would not work on Amelia, Patrick tried to suppress his anger as he said, "Consider it as a favor that I owe you. As long as you don't mention anything about Sissi in front of my family, I can give you anything that you want in return!"

Upon hearing his words, Amelia's heart sank. It was as if she had just been struck at her head which rendered her not able to think straight.

She looked at him in disbelief. Her voice was shaking as she murmured, "Patrick, I'll only ask you one question. Are you begging me now for the sake of Sissi?"

It was undeniable that Patrick was an arrogant man after all. But even for a man as arrogant as him, he would be willing to compromise his pride for his soft spot.

He uttered in a slow but determined tone, "Yes."

"He's willing to do anything for Sissi but for not me!" At the thought of this, Amelia could not help feeling a surge of stabbing pain at her heart. She hurriedly looked away and began to take a few deep breath.

After she managed to suppress the agonizing pain and disappointment, it was only then she turned to look at Patrick in his face. Her gaze was cold and the sarcasm of her voice was not hard to tell, "What can you offer me in exchange for tonight's secrets?"

"I can give you everything that I have." Patrick glanced up at her with his gaze meaningful.

In fact, even without the secret involving Sissi, Patrick was more than willing to give everything that he had to Amelia.

Hence, it was a mere coincidence that he could only say this thought out loud at this time in exchange for her to keep Sissi's whereabout as a secret.

Unfortunately, Amelia did not know what had he been thinking. Hence, her expression remained disdainful.

In her eyes, Patrick was in love with Sissi so much that he was willing to give up everything of him in exchange for Sissi's safety!
