Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1104

During the time when Amelia had not been paying close attention, Milton took a quick glance at Audrey with a questioning look.

However, Audrey shook her head in silence gesturing that she had no idea of what had happened to Amelia's hand.

A surge of pain began to creep onto Milton. The day Amelia took over Apex Construction Corporation had marked an upside-down of her originally peaceful life.

He remembered that he had gotten her a rare piece of jade bracelet some time ago. Not only that, he had specially requested engravement on the bracelet. He thought that it would actually protect her from misfortune.

Thinking of the jade bracelet, Milton immediately came to notice that she had not been wearing the bracelet that he had gifted to her. Frowning, he could not help but ask, "By the way, where's the bracelet that I gifted it to you?"

Amelia chuckled, "So you only concern about the bracelet, don't you?" "No, I'm concerned about your hand too. The first thing that I had asked was the injury on your hand."

"My hand was injured because of the bracelet. Meanwhile, the bracelet had to be removed because of the injury of my hand too. Do you get it?"

"Uh?"

"Don't worry, the bracelet is perfectly fine with me." Amelia stopped messing around with him and reached out the jade bracelet from her pocket. While bringing it to his front, Amelia said, "You can take a look at it yourself."

"Ah! I can still feel your warmth on it!" Milton held the bracelet with due care as if it was a piece from her.

Amelia struggled to fight off the heat on her cheek before she said, "There's enough! Return it to me now!"

Milton returned it to her without hesitation. He then began to flatter her, "By the way, I'm here today to deliver you a good news."

Amelia's face was instantly lit up with joy, "Are you going back to United Kingdom with Maryanne soon?"

Resisting the urge to give her a tight slap in her face, Milton grunted, "Piss off! You're waiting for me to go back, aren't you?"

"Eh! Hold on, what did you say?"

Amelia startled for a second before she was swept by curiosity.

Milton cleared his throat and changed the subject matter in the next second, "I'm here to discuss the matter of advertisement..."

Audrey sneaked a glance at Milton's buttock from the back before she blurted out, "There are a load of people chasing after you, aren't there?

"What did you say?!" Milton turned around and shot a glare at Audrey.

Audrey immediately covered her mouth in embarrassment while waving her hands at Milton.

After the three of them came out from the lift, Audrey returned to her desk while Amelia led Milton to her office.

Just as she was about to push the door open, Amelia was being reminded again by her right hand that she was currently injured. She had no other choice but to put down her right hand and use her left hand instead to open the door.

There was no doubt that Milton who standing next to her had noticed her discomfort.

His gaze turned cold as he asked in a serious tone, "Amelia, what exactly had happened to your right hand? Excessive masturbating?"

D*mn it!

Amelia turned around and glanced at him before she replied, "Didn't I just tell you that it's because of the stacks of agreements which I had to sign?"

"Then why can't you even lift up your hand?"

At the first sight of the bandage on her hand, he thought that she had overstrained the muscle on her wrist. However, at this moment, he began to doubt that it was ever true.

"Alright, fine. You're right. I masturbate too much."

"Amelia, stop lying to me. Let me guess. Someone wasn't happy with the fact that you were wearing the bracelet that I gifted to you, hence he tried to remove it by force and injure you in between. Am I right?"

"Wow! Milton, I didn't know that you are meant to be a detective."

After delivering her exaggerated compliment, Amelia pushed the door open and entered into her office.

Milton's expression turned cold as he followed at her back, "So I've guess it right, haven't I? Patrick is the one who injured you!"

"No, you're wrong. Think again. If he is the culprit after all, he would have removed the bracelet at the very first moment when he learned that it was a gift from you."

Amelia paused for a moment before she turned and looked at Milton in his eyes, "The truth was the

Nevertheless, at this moment, Apex Construction Corporation had enough funds to continue its operation. With the contact Milton had with Lintons Ads Company, she was convinced that it would be much easier for her to obtain support from Lintons after this.

It was at this moment that Amelia's phone began ringing.

She took a glance at Milton before she said, "Please excuse me."

Milton nodded in understanding.

Amelia took out her phone just to find out that it was an unfamiliar number who was calling. Nonetheless, she had chosen to answer it anyway.

"Hi?"

Amelia! Can you stop badgering Milton?"

She soon found out that it was Maryanne who was speaking over the phone.

Amelia lowered down the volume of the speaker of her phone before she replied, "What do you mean? I don't get it."

"Don't you dare to mess around with me! Amelia, I had never known that you're such a shameless person! Not only you came to the Milton's Family for dinner, you're now dating Milton in your own office!"

Amelia wondered how did Maryanne manage to find out that Milton was right here.

She took a glance at Milton. He was toying with the display item on her desk. He seemingly did not bother who she was talking with over the phone.

Feeling relieved, Amelia continued to say, "I guess not everyone has a brain either. I suggest that you might as well need one."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm telling you that if I were you, I will never make such a call and shame myself."

"You must be kidding me! My boyfriend is seeing you at my back, and you expect me to remain silence still?"

"Ha!" Amelia scoffed. She did not bother to a mad woman. Maryanne's anger soared as soon as she heard Amelia's indifferent attitude. She growled, "Amelia, you had never really given up on Milton, hadn't you?"
