Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1230

It seemed like Kaiden's effort of dodging away from Audrey's attack went into waste as she managed to make a perfect strike at him every single time.

Amelia thought of reminding Audrey about her bruised arm so she could watch out. However, eventually she realized that both Kaiden and Audrey were seemingly having fun. That was why she decided not to interfere with their conflict.

Amelia began to wonder if Kaiden had provoked Audrey on purpose so that she could get a chance to vent her anger to him.

At some point in time, Kaiden messed around with Audrey again. He said, "If you don't like the way I apologized to you earlier, I can sing a song for you as my apology. Any songs in particular that you want to listen to? How about PPAP?"

In fact, Amelia was familiar with the song that Kaiden mentioned. It was a Japanese song that had gone viral on social media recently.

"You've such a poor taste of songs!" As soon as Kaiden began to sing as if he could not carry a tune in a bucket, Audrey was triggered to the extent that she became even more violent as she shouted, "Shut the f*ck up! Stop creating nuisance!"

At this moment, Amelia shook her head and was convinced that it was Kaiden's intention to mess around with Audrey as a mean of apology. In that case, there was nothing else for her to worry about since Kaiden would not hit her back anyway. Hence, she decided to turn around and leave unnoticeably.

Audrey stopped throwing punches at him after a few minutes as she felt exhausted. She began panting while leaning against the wall.

It was only then Kaiden realized that Amelia was nowhere to be seen. He did not bother to disguise his true character again as he scoffed, "What a virago! There's no wonder that you can't even get yourself a boyfriend!"

The truth was, Audrey's anger was already receding. However, as soon as she heard him, she could not help but raise her hand again in attempt to hit him.

Out of her expectation, not only did Kaiden not let her get into his way, he grasped her arm forcefully instead. He hissed, "All this while I was trying to hold back my temper in front of your boss. Otherwise, do you really think that you can land a finger on me?"

It began to make sense to Audrey for what had happened earlier.

With an enlightened look, Audrey scolded infuriatedly, "What a scheming jerk!"

It was the first time Kaiden had ever heard others describing him in this way. He was dumbfounded as he stammered, "What did you just say?"

At the heated moment, Audrey seemed to have forgotten Kaiden's identity and background. All she knew was that she needed to scold him terribly in order to vent her anger. She continued, "I said you're a scheming jerk! The reason that you stood there and let me hit you was simply an act of flattering President Ramsay. As soon as she left, you began to show your true color again. How can you be so devious?!"

There had already been two days in a row where he was being accused of scheming people. He broke out into a cold laughter as he admitted, "It's true that I am one. Go ahead and show me what can you do to me."

Audrey blurted out, "Let me warn you. You won't get to be triumphed for any longer. There's no doubt that my opinion of you carries weight. All I need to do is to badmouth you in front of her. I can assure you that by then, you'll never stand a chance to win her heart...Ouch!"

Before she could finish her words, she squealed at the surge of pain that swept her over.

She glanced up just to find herself getting terrified by Kaiden's darkened expression. Time seemingly froze at this moment as she startled. She was so numb that all in a sudden, she could no longer feel the pain coming from her arm being grabbed.

Kaiden shot her a dead stare as he uttered every words with excessive determination, "You can come to me for anything. Literally anything, but this! Do you hear me?"

Audrey did not know what to reply at that very moment.

She was startled still. At the sight of this, Kaiden decided not to waste any time with the woman in front of him. Upon letting go of her hand ruthlessly, he turned around and disappeared from her sight.

It took Audrey a few moments before she came back to her senses. She pursed her lips and she murmured to herself in frustration, "Holy sh*t! I must be crazy to think that he was manly than ever when he came out with those words!"

At six o'clock in the evening.

It was almost time to dismiss from work when

Amelia found herself in a dilemma. Her car key was

not with her.

After waiting for her response for some time, Patrick had to break the silence and urge, "Are you coming down or not? I have an appointment later. I need to get going if you're not coming down."

Amelia could not help but to feel panicked when she stared at the Lamborghini downstairs as if it was going to leave at any time. She cried out, "Don't go! I'm coming down now!"

"You have three minutes." With that said, Patrick hung up the call.

"Only three minutes?"

At this moment, everything else could wait but this. She grabbed her handbag before dashing in the direction of the elevator.

At the sight of Amelia leaving in a hurry, Audrey left her desk and followed her at the back as she asked, "President Ramsay, where are you heading to? Don't you forget that you still have an appointment to attend tonight."

Amelia froze as she heard Audrey's reminder. She had indeed thrown the scheduled meeting completely out of her mind. Fortunately, Audrey had reminded her in time. She hence said, "Got it. I'm going downstairs to grab something. Please remind Uncle Tucker. I'll meet both of you at the carpark." "Noted." It was only then Audrey stop going after Amelia. Instead, she turned around and headed to her desk before she made a call to Jonathan.

Those employees who had already been dismissed from work could not help keeping an eye upon seeing Amelia who was running frantically in the direction of the luxurious sport car.

The identity of the car owner was soon revealed when he rolled down the window. Everyone's eyes popped out of their heads in astonishment at the sight of this.

They could not help but wonder if Amelia and Patrick were getting back together.

Patrick swept a glance at them which resulted in them withdrawing their curious gaze.

"Patrick, where's the sedative?" At this moment, Amelia had already bent over with her hand reached out to him. It was not hard to tell from her face that she was nervous despite looking forward to get the sedative from him.

Surprisingly, Patrick had not imposed any conditions for her to agree upon in order for him to hand over the sedative this time. He squinted and took over a sealed box and placed it in her hand before he stated his disclaimer, "Handle it with care. I'm not going to be responsible for any damages caused."
