Come To Me (Amelia and Patrick) novel Chapter 1238

While Eve hoped for nothing but for Kayla to leave right away, she seemed to overlook the fact that she had forgotten to close the door upon leaving the dinner table.

Furthermore, her high-pitched voice upon scolding Amelia had already attracted the attention of Mr. Elliott and his wife from next door.

Mr. Elliott swept a glance at the booth which was in a chaos. He could tell from everyone's expression and the heavy atmosphere that something was off. He could not help but ask solemnly, "Mrs. Hopper, what is all this about..."

The truth was Eve had no idea what had happened in the booth earlier. After all, she barely set foot in the booth before their arrival.

All she knew was Amelia must be the culprit who pulled a dirty trick and found her way here. She was certain of a fact that Amelia was here to cause a scene in order to ensure that Patrick and Kayla's blind date would met with failure!

Mrs. Elliott was taken by surprise to find her beloved daughter in the booth. She hurriedly waved Kayla over, "Kayla, come back here."

Kayla nodded obediently before she moved to the side of Mrs. Elliott slowly.

"Kayla, I thought you and Mr. Patrick left to washroom earlier. Why did you end up in here?" Mrs. Elliott took a pause and swept a brief glance at the crowd in the booth before she asked in confusion, "By the way, who are these people?" Kayla held Mrs. Elliott's arms as she replied feebly, "Mom, I guess it'd be better for Aunt Eve to explain to you."

It turned out that Mr. Elliott could recognize Amelia out from the crowd. After all, the recent news featuring her alongside with her extraordinary beauty was hard for anyone in Northville to not know about her at all.

As soon as Eve noticed the change of expression of Mr. Elliott, she could not help but sneak a glance at Patrick.

Eve was outrageous at the sight of Patrick standing right next to Amelia. Even so, she suppressed her anger as she said, "Patrick, let's go over to Mr. Elliott's side. Dinner is to be continued."

However, Patrick stood still without any sign of moving.

Seeing this, Eve had no other choice but to reach out out and drag him. Nevertheless, her strength was far from enough to move Patrick. As a result, she ended up panting as she drained off her last strain of energy struggling to move him.

She looked up just to see that Patrick's gaze was falling directly on Amelia. There was no doubt that he did not bother how this might look to the rest of the crowd. Eve could no longer contain her rage anymore. She found it baffling to understand why Patrick would still stick around with a frivolous woman like Amelia.

Amelia was seemingly sinking in her own thought. At the sight of this, Patrick murmured softly, "Say it now. Tell them that you need me to send you back."

Eve was standing near enough to overhear his words. She held her breath in disbelief. She thought it was completely ridiculous for Patrick to think of leaving with Amelia at this moment irrespective of how others would judge him!

"Say it now!" Patrick spoke again determinedly as he stared right at Amelia.

Amelia blinked and she could not help glancing at him. She then swept a glance at the crowd at the scene. All she could see was Eve glaring at her terrifyingly as if she was going to snatch her son away in the next second. On the other hand, the Elliott Family, seemed to remain calm. Amelia could tell from their expression that they were disturbed by her presence.

In other words, Amelia's presence was completely unnecessary at this moment.

They hoped for nothing but her disappearance from the scene right away. It would certainly be the best for them if she could disappear from the world permanently.

On her second thought, she found the entire incident in irony. After all, it was a private booth reserved under her name. Those people had no right to chase her away.

At this time, Audrey could no longer remain in silence. She stood behind Amelia and reminded her gently, "President Ramsay, Mr. Hopper is talking to you."

Amelia finally came back to her senses. Only then, she shook her head firmly in gesture that she turned his invitation down.

Patrick struggled to suppress the anger in his eyes. All he needed was for Amelia to speak so that he could agree to send her home right away. In that case, he could put an end to and save everyone from the awkward atmosphere!

Eve had to admit that she felt relieved at Amelia's response. She hushed, "Look, Patrick. She refused to let you send her back. Don't you forget that both of you had already signed up for a divorce.

She can find her way back!"

However, when this hand of Patrick offered to send her home this time round, all he got in return was her polite yet distant rejection.

Patrick took a deep breath before he asked again dejectedly, "Are you sure that that's all you have to say to me?"

Amelia stumbled over his sudden question.

Although she was aware that there was something unspeakable between them in secret, they were supposed to pretend as if they were no more than estranged spouses in public.

In the next second, she made herself clear once again, "Mr. Hopper, I guess you still have some unfinished business to deal with. It'd be better for me not to keep you any longer. Goodbye! Uncle Tucker, Audrey, let's go."

Ha! Very well!

Patrick's expression could not get any darker at this moment. The murderous look of Patrick was enough to terrify everyone at the scene!

After a short while, he scoffed coldly, "President Ramsay, see you soon!"

Amelia was not a complete fool after all. She could tell from his tone that it was a threaten from him. Even so, she did not know what else to say at this moment.

Sissi was the best example for this scenario. The truth was she did not want to cling on Patrick, let alone declaring to the world that he was hers all along. At this moment, she was no one to him anymore but a stranger who held a piece of his past memory!

"See you soon." Amelia decided to play dumb this time. She drifted her gaze away from his face, she turned around and left gracefully.

Ever since the crowd was here, she had only greeted Patrick so far.

As for Eve, Amelia guessed that she herself was probably the last person that Eve wanted to see. Hence, there was no need for her to annoy her.
