"Patrick, all you asked for is a kiss. Look at where you're touching now!"
Amelia shot a cold stare at the man who seemed to have such a poor self-control when it came to making out.
Patrick smacked his lips crookedly before he said shamelessly, "You're too delicious. I can't resist your charm."
Amelia had no other choice but to grab his hands which were in the mist of exploring her body. She threatened expressionlessly, "If you were to continue like this, don't blame me if I go and request Paisley to inject you with anesthetic. You'll get to experience a life as a disabled person."
Patrick raised his eyebrows in shock, "Mrs. Hopper, you can't be serious, can you?"
Amelia imitated his expression and raised her eyebrows threateningly as she challenged him, "Go ahead and try."
A tiny smile began to creep onto the corner of his lips. Patrick replied fawningly, "Fine, I promise that I won't simply touch you again. Please forgive me, Mrs. Hopper."
"That sounds much better." While saying, Amelia could not help but sweep a glance at their current posture.
At this moment, Patrick had already lied back on his bed while she was pressing herself against his sturdy chest. The only common thing they shared was their rumpled shirts.
Amelia could not help flushing. That was certainly not what she had expected earlier. After all, what they had both agreed was nothing but a kiss.
At that instance, he followed Amelia's gaze and swept a glance at their posture before his gaze fell right on his own crumpled shirts. He began flashing his crooked smile satisfactorily as he teased, "It seems like I'm not the only one who was aroused. You had been turned on too, hadn't you?"
At the sight of his mischievous smile on his unrealistically handsome face, Amelia pouted, "Fine, you're right. You're such a good kisser. How could I not get turned on by you?"
She paused for a moment before she grumbled again, "I wonder which woman trained you into such a good kisser..."
Patrick stared at her intensely. He was intrigued by her question, "Mrs. Hopper, are you feelingjealous?"
Amelia stunned for a while before she denied, "Jealous? Why must I get jealous? Everyone must have kissed someone before!
There's nothing to be jealous of!"
Patrick immediately frowned when he heard Amelia's word. His expression saddened with a hint of sorrow flashed across his eyes. He murmured, "Mrs. Hopper, I get jealous when I heard what you said."
Amelia's heart sank at the sight of this. The truth was no one could ever resist Patrick's expression at this moment!
All that she could see was him in a patient gown lying on the bed. His face looked a little paler than usual when the light in the ward fell on him. In light of his injury, his sharp features were clothed with sheer delicacy. He was still charming as usual despite looking ill and gloomy. All in a sudden, Amelia could not help feeling sinful for becoming the reason of him being sad!
"Well..." Amelia sat back on her chair. She began murmuring sheepishly as she lowered her head, "I didn't mean to sulk earlier. I know that it's normal for anyone in a romantic relationship to kiss. I will be surprised if you have never kissed anyone before. I was just being fussy. Don't take it to heart. I'll forget it too..."
Patrick could not help but exclaim secretly, "Aww... How can she be so adorable?"
Ever since they opened up to each other, Patrick realized that Amelia had changed. She was getting more comfortable in coming clean with him. She stopped being mean to him. The truth was she was just like any other ordinary woman who was madly in love. She would care about his feeling and comfort him awkwardly had she ever injured his feeling. However, one thing he had to admit was that she was terrible at comforting people.
All in a sudden, he said, "Mrs. Hopper, come here."
Amelia glanced up subconsciously upon hearing him. There was still a trace of guilt on her face when she asked puzzlingly, "What do you want to do?"
Patrick replied smilingly, "I'd like to hug n
you.
"Hug me?" His reply certainly caught her by surprise. After all, she remembered that he was overwhelmed by sadness a moment ago. She had no idea what was on his mind that cheered him up and made him think of hugging her.
"Just a hug. I won't be doing anything else."
In fear that Sawyer would cast doubt on her ability, Sissi hurriedly explained, "Sawyer, don't get me wrong. I swear that he did it
very well when I taught him earlier!"
Sawyer stared at Abner penetratingly.
However, meeting with his sharp gaze, Abner merely looked at him expressionlessly.
A moment later, Sawyer finally glanced away and said, "Sissi, why not you go and get the dining table ready? I'll have a word with him."
Sissi added before leaving, "Be gentle with the kid."
Upon sitting on the couch, Sawyer replied faintly, "I know."
However, as soon as Sissi disappeared from the sight, Sawyer pulled a face and questioned Abner sternly, "Did you do it on purpose?
Abner glanced at him shockingly and stuttered, "Daddy... What do you mean?"
Sawyer bent over and reached out to pinch Abner's cheeks. He asked again coldly, "I'll ask you again. Did you try to embarrass your Mom by refusing to cooperate with her on purpose?
The pain coming from his cheeks immediately swept him away. As a result, Abner's voice was shaking when he denied, "No... I didn't."
"You'd better be speaking the truth." At the sight of him in pain, Sawyer could not help narrowing his eyes. In the next second, he let go of Abner's face all in a sudden. All he could see was the red marks left by his hands on both side of Abner's cheeks.
As soon as Abner was being released, he did not come forward and cling onto him like he would in the past. Instead, he stumbled to retreat. Despite it was probably a natural reaction from a small child, Abner's behavior immediately triggered Sawyer!
Sawyer was consumed by only one thought, "He is afraid of me?!"
