Brittany walked over and sat down. She then placed a bag on her lap like she was presenting a treasure. As she opened it, she said, "Mom, I've also bought you a gift. "Don't sweet talk me." Alice sighed and put away the bag. Then she sat back in her seat and said, "Brittany, I'll send you back to school after this weekend."

Brittany was shocked and forced a smile. "Mom, my knees still hurt from time to time. Can you give me another week?"

Alice lowered her head and swept a glance at Brittany's injured leg. After the flash of sympathy crossed her mind, she looked up at Brittany and said, "But, you can go shopping now. There shouldn't be any major problem, right? Besides, as a student, studying is your priority."

Brittany hurriedly said, "Mom..."

Alice replied firmly, "Well, there's no room for any discussion. I've already told your programme leader that I'll send you back in two days.
