The next second, Amelia raised her head and sighed at him.
Patrick asked hurriedly, "What's wrong?"
Amelia pouted and said, "I'm getting a little jealous knowing that you're so popular with n women.
Patrick raised his brow and said, "Mrs. Hopper, I'm not interested in her at all."
Amelia narrowed her eyes and asked, "Tell me, how many women have done that to you?
Patrick quickly replied, "She's the first one."
"You're wrong. She's the first for today." Amelia then counted, "Since the day you were hospitalized, six different nurses came me to see you for various reasons. Including the one just now, there are a total of seven of them. Goku gathers seven dragon balls to summon the Divine Dragon, so are you gathering seven ladies to summon an empress?
Patrick was amused by her comparison, thinking that Mrs. Hopper was indeed, his barrel of laughs.
"I'm already struggling to show enough love to Mrs. Hopper. Do you think I can survive if
I have to look after any other women?"
Amelia was still lying on top of him. As she chuckled, her hair swayed back and forth on top of his chest. "Mr. Hopper, so it's not that you don't want to, but you're incapable of taking in more women? Is that what you mean?
Patrick scooped a sprig of her hair to admire and said, "Mrs. Hopper, you're wrong. I don't even remember how they look like, so how can I feel anything for them?"
Amelia replied with a faint smile, "But, I remember you have excellent eyesight."
Patrick planted a kiss on her hair. "To tell you the truth, Mrs. Hopper, apart from you, any other women are just a bunch of blurry faced creatures in my eyes. Do you think I can fall in love with such monsters?"
Pfft!
Blurry faced creatures? He might be the only person in the world who could come up with this!
Amelia coughed softly and suppressed the laughter in her throat. She then asked Patrick, "If you say that, have you thought about how your sister and sister-in-law will feel?"
Patrick shook his head and responded, "Who are you talking about? Do I know them?"
All of a sudden, a lovely female voice came from the door, "Nice one, Patrick. I came to see you out of kindness, but you just said you don't know me. I'm mad now. Bye!"
Amelia turned her head towards the voice and saw Florence with her hair tied in a bun. She was wearing a long-sleeved T-shirt and a pair of jeans, glaring at Patrick.
However, Patrick continued to play with Amelia's long hair, unmoved
by what Florence said and her sudden appearance.
Florence then placed her hands on her hips and refuted, "You have three seconds to apologize. Or I'll leave!"
Three seconds passed.
"I'm going to leave now!"
Another three seconds ticked by.
"Hmph, I'm not taking your bait. You want me to get angry and leave so that you can spend time with Amelia. I won't get mad then, and I won't leave either. I'll stay here and piss you off!"
Amelia pulled a wry face and called out, "Florence, come on in and take a seat." After a pause, she turned to Patrick and said, "Stop playing and let me get up."
"Okay." Patrick loosened his grip reluctantly.
As Amelia let Florence sit at the position closest to him after getting up, Patrick could not help but feel some resentment.
Florence stared into his disdainful eyes and said, "Patrick, are you constipated? Why the long face?"
This man.
How could he show off his love for Amelia so suddenly?
Amelia could not help but smile and whisper to him, "It's fine. I've been sitting here for a long time. I just want to get up and stretch. Have a chat with Florence first. I'll go out for a walk."
Hearing her, Florence was embarrassed. "Hey, Amelia. Don't be so polite with us!"
Amelia put one hand around the other elbow and tilted her head slightly. She smiled at the two siblings who had the same expressions
on their faces and said, "I'll be back soon."
After Amelia closed the door, Patrick asked in an urging tone, "Florence, why are you here?" "Why am I here? I came to see you, of n
course.
After Florence settled into a more comfortable sitting position, she asked, "Patrick, how's your injury? Do you feel better? Does it get painful when you sleep?" Patrick looked at her for a long time. "Don't talk to me like that. I'm scared."
Florence pouted and said, "Why are you like this?"
Patrick refused to have deep communication with her. "Are you done? Ask Amelia to come back if you are."
Florence sat still. "Why are you so nervous? Amelia just went for a walk, not eloping with other men."
Patrick was speechless.
Before Patrick lost his temper, Florence curled her lips. She asked suddenly, "Patrick, what should we do?"
"What do you mean?" Patrick had no idea what she was talking about.
