On the other side, with Wayne and Richard both aghast, Wayne shouted at Amelia, "Have you lost your mind?"
Wayne's unfiltered mouth had always been beyond Richard's control. But this time, he did not bother to reprimand Wayne too. "Ms. Amelia Ramsay, do you know what you're saying?
"You two are worrying too much." Amelia looked at them in amusement. "Sawyer won't dare to do anything to me because Patrick has leverage on him. As for what is it, I think you two should know, right?"
Dai Run was still worried. "Yeah, but..."
"It's okay, trust me!" Amelia looked at them and assured, "You've promised me that unless necessary, you won't have run into a conflict with Sawyer. And don't forget, the purpose of this visit is to settle the cooperation with him!"
Richard lowered his gaze slightly, and sombreness ladened his babyface. He suddenly raised his hand to neaten
Amelia's collar, and when he put down his hand, he said to her obediently, "Okay, Wayne and I will wait for you here."
After that, Richard gave Wayne a look to
indicate for him to calm down.
Wayne understood tacitly and glanced at Amelia's collar, he then stopped making a fuss.
After Amelia left with Simon, Richard and Wayne huddled together.
Wayne whispered, "You learned it from Mr. Fuller, didn't you?"
"You should know." After Richard answered in the argots that only both of them understood, he raised his hand to press on the earphone in his ear.
On the other side, after Amelia walked away, she touched her collar, and a smile flashed across her face.
She knew that Richard would not do anything out of the blue to her all of a sudden. His action was similar to Huxton's when he put the bug on her, but she did doubt if she had guessed it correctly about Richard.
Not long after, Simon and Amelia came standing in front of another identical villa.
"Ms. Amelia." When left with Amelia alone, Simon finally put on a familiar grin on his face. "Mr. Sawyer told me to bring you here and for me to leave afterwards."
Amelia nodded and said, "Okay, Simon, go ahead. I can enter the villa myself."
Simon then excused himself. Amelia turned and stared at the door, slightly lost in thought.
What was Sawyer trying to do? Why did he bring her to this place?
She touched her collar again. Although she felt nothing on her collar, a sense of relief came to her. She believed that with Wayne and Richard's capabilities, she would be fine.
Amelia got herself together and rang the doorbell.
After a while, a tall and handsome man opened the door. It was Sawyer.
Amelia looked up at him and was surprised by the apron he was wearing, which was incompatible with his temperament.
"Come in," Sawyer beckoned as he held the door handle.
In the next second, he noticed that she was looking at his apron. He explained magnanimously, "As you can see, Sissi likes eating my dishes."
"Why not?" Sawyer's words carried an incomprehensible profound meaning.
Amelia replied half-jokingly, "Aren't you afraid that I will start a fight with her?"
Sawyer held the door open with one hand, seemingly lazy. But, his words were sharp, "I can't think of any reason for you two to fight even if I rack my brain."
Sawyer was hinting to Amelia that Sissi cared more about him, not Patrick anymore.
Amelia narrowed her eyes and responded, "It seems that Mr. Sawyer is confident in his charms."
Amelia was insinuating Sawyer. If he had truly won Sissi's heart, then why would he place her under house arrest?
As the two of them bantered, a sweet and mellow voice sounded from behind Sawyer. However, there were hints of resentment and hatred as the voice called out, "Sawyer, how can you make Miss Amelia Ramsay stand outside for so long? Don't forget that she's pregnant. Hurry and invite her in."
Averting her gaze away from Sawyer, Amelia saw Sissi's charming beauty through the door crack, and for some reason, she suddenly felt a chill.
She shot a look at Sawyer. Perhaps the contempt in her eyes was obvious as Sawyer took the initiative to admit, "I'm sorry, Ms. Amelia. I accidentally divulged the wonderful news of your pregnancy to Sissi. Please forgive me."
Forgive him? It was clear as day that he had deliberately told Sissi about this!
As for his purpose, he must have wanted to take this opportunity to make Sissi completely give up on her feelings for Patrick!
However, Amelia could not tell whether Sissi had given her hopes up on Patrick, but she knew that Sissi's hatred for her must have intensified. Amelia suddenly had an impulse to turn and leave but, she stayed for the sake of her negotiation with Sawyer.
