As soon as Sissi left, Amelia immediately asked, "Mr. Sawyer, can you say it now?"
Sawyer crossed his long legs and returned faintly, "I want the evidence that Patrick and Owen have concerning what happened at Florence."
Upon hearing his condition, a trace of astonishment flashed across Amelia's face. She appeared to be animated and shocked.
However, Sawyer did not have any intention of teasing her. He nodded at her solemnly, "You didn't misheard me."
Amelia frowned slightly. Just like how Patrick wanted to use the matter to threaten Sawyer, Sawyer had also thought of it as his bargaining chip. "Mr. Sawyer, please know that I have no say over this."
"You do, actually. You're the only person who can persuade Patrick, and he
can then convince Owen." Sawyer thought of his plan in a cycle as she slowly targeted one after another.
Amelia gently bit her pink lips and appeared to be distressed as she replied, "Well, why can't we stick to the contract's penalty?"
Sawyer stood up and looked down at her.
"Ms. Amelia, are you rejecting my offer?"
Under the force of Sawyer's powerful aura, Amelia replied weakly, "Hmm."
Sawyer then suddenly stooped down and stretched out his arm to trap her on the sofa. His overbearing and cold manner made Amelia hug the pillow behind her on instinct. She then asked warily, "What are you doing?"
When their eyes met, Sawyer curled his lips and sneered, "Ms. Amelia, do you think I'm the kind of man whom you can control at your command?"
"No!" Amelia, stuck in a lower position, answered somewhat nervously.
Sawyer continued, "Don’t you think of me as a push-over when I don't make you pay the price?"
After Amelia calmed herself down, she repeated what Patrick had said to her to Sawyer, "The amount of the penalty fee is up n
to you.
"Do I look like I'm running short on money?" Sawyer questioned again.
The truth was the other way round as he was filthy rich, which the entire Streams Villa could serve as proof.
"You've bullied my son, my woman, and now me, whom you have lost your manners to.
Do you actually think Patrick is omnipotent?" Sawyer had rarely spoken so much, but each of his words was condemning, which caught Amelia off guard.
"When... When did I ever bully your son!" Amelia flared at Sawyer fiercely with her round eyes.
"Abner is usually taciturn, but he's never ignored me like how he did today. It should be none other than Miss Amelia Ramsay for breaking up with him. Don't you feel bad for making such a young child lose himself for you?" asked Sawyer unhappily.
Amelia retorted anxiously, "What's with 'breaking up' and 'losing himself'? You sound as if something is happening between Abner and me!"
Wayne did not care and shook his head a few times. After the buzzing sound out of his head was out of his head, he grinned at Richard next to him and said, "Is he trying to scare us?
"Ah." responded Richard nonchalantly. Then, he shot an object about the size of rock from his right hand at the man in black.
The object fell on the man's shoulder and made a light ban. Then, it turned into fine white powder while it spread in the air.
As Richard's motion was swift and quick, before the men in black could react, they had more or less inhaled the white powder.
As for Wayne and Richard, they had already known what would happen in advance. So, they had their noses and mouths covered.
"What did you do to us?" The leader of the group frowned and asked calmly.
Then, cries and screams immediately followed from behind him. "Ah! What's going on? My stomach hurts!"
"Me too! Me too!"
Some of them were in so much pain that they had to put down their guns to clutch their stomachs.
"Useless br*ts!" The leader scolded unpleasantly. However, he soon also felt a sharp jab in his stomach that seemed to be getting more severe. It took him a lot of eifort to maintain his stance in holding the gun.
"What on earth did you do to us?!" The man roared.
Richard revealed an innocent smile on his face. "You'd better not be agitated, or the powder will take effect to worsen your pain. If you don't want to die from pain, you should sit down and rest, or you shall bear the consequences."
