Richard sounded as if he was giving kind advice, but there was a trace of schadenfreude hidden within his tone. The leader was furious, so he could not help but sternly spat, "Listen! Without my permission, no one can pass through, not even a mosquito! Even if we are to die in pain, we have to keep guarding!"

On the other side.

The gunshot outside caused Amelia's expression to change in an instant.

She asked Sawyer right away, "What happened?"

Sawyer shook his head at her. "It's better if you don't know."

Amelia panicked. She hurriedly shoved Sawyer aside, but before she could stand up, he reached out to grab her shoulder and pressed her back.

In the face of Sawyer, who was more forceful, Amelia was weak as an ant about to be crushed to death at any time.

Even so, she still courageously glared at him with ire. "Sawyer Quartley, what have you done to Wayne and Richard!"

So, Amelia grabbed Sawyer's cuffs and slowly tightened them. "You can just come at me. Stop implicating them!"

Sawyer glanced at his wrinkled cuffs while his hands continued to press on Amelia's shoulders to pin her down. "You're in trouble, but you're still thinking about others. It seems that you have a big heart and strong loyalty."

Amelia could tell that Sawyer was mocking her. So, she shouted in annoyance, "Let go of me!"

"No!" Sawyer merely replied faintly.

The scene of the two tangling together came into Sissi's view, who was standing on the corridor on the second floor. The scene instantly stirred up some furious emotions within her!

Sissi heard her teeth creaking uncontrollably from grounding too hard, which only

showed her desperation in tearing Amelia into pieces!

After a short moment, Sissi finally convinced herself to calm down. She then put on a panic look and shouted at Sawyer who was still holding onto Amelia downstairs, "Sawyer, what's happening outside the villa? Why is it so noisy?"

At the sound of Sissi' voice, Sawyer straightened up as if nothing happened. He looked back at Sissi and called out gently, "Nothing. Just accompany Abner in the

H room.

"Oh." Sissi responded and pretended to ask unintentionally, "Sawyer, why are you grabbing onto Ms. Amelia's shoulders?"

Sawyer replied with restraint, "Ms. Amelia couldn't stand still just now, so I assisted her."

Amelia denied right away, "No! That's not it..." However, Sawyer turned his eyes on her, and the evilness was so intense that it shocked Amelia. He then softly asked, "Ms.

Amelia, you don't want the two outside to lose their lives, do you?"

Amelia then went on with a sarcastic smile, "But, you've hold onto me and allowed the gunfight outside. If Patrick finds out that I, my unborn child, and his men are injured and dead when he arrives, do you think you can still get what you want?"

Sawyer slightly raised his brows as he thought Amelia was extraordinary. In the face of danger, not only did she not cry nor make a fuss, she was negotiating with him instead.

"Ms. Amelia, you've misunderstood me," Sawyer explained as he decisively retracted his hands from her shoulders and placed them close on both sides of his body. "I didn't mean to hurt any one of you. It's just that you've reacted too intensely. So, we have no choice but to take some actions to resolve things."

To resolve things?

Sawyer had put it in such a nice way!

Amelia faked a smile and replied, "Oh, so it's our fault instead. If that's the case, I'll apologize to you for Wayne and Richard. Mr. Sawyer, please have mercy and not harm the innocent!"

"Ms. Amelia is wise and smartly goes with the flow." returned Sawyer. Then, he took out his phone from his pocket and called the man in black who was in charge of arresting Wayne and David.

But, the call was not answered. Sawyer could not help but furrow his brows as he wondered what was taking so long to arrest the two men.

Ring, ring. Ring, ring.

The phone rang from inside of the man's suit jacket and distracted him. As a result, his calf was shot again.

As he had injuries on both his legs and a stomachache, the man could no longer hold himself up and fell to the ground. Wayne, who was nearby seized the opportunity and stepped on his face.

Wayne then shouted, "Hey! Behave yourselves if you don't want your leader to get shot."
