When Wayne and Richard lowered their heads and avoided looking at Patrick, Patrick felt even more uneasy!
Overridden with anxiety, he asked, "I'm asking the both of you, where is she?"
"Um... Bro Patrick..." Wayne risked his all and boldly looked up, then he said, "Richard has something to tell you!"
F*ck!
Richard was pissed off. In the next second, Patrick glared at Richard sharply. So, Richard could only bite the bullet and say, "Bro Patrick, please keep calm. Amelia is detained by Sawyer on his island!"
Immediately, Patrick pulled a long face.
He stared at the two of them with fury, and the flames burning in his eyes could burn a hole in Wayne and Richard's faces.
Although Patrick had yet to say anything, Wayne and Richard were terrified.
Moments after.
"What exactly happened? Tell me everything you know!"
If Patrick had not known Wayne and Richard well, he would have already started to pick
on them.
"Bro Patrick, so here's what happened..." After collecting himself, Richard told Patrick the entire story that happened in Streams Villa.
While Richard was talking, he realized that Patrick's hands which he had placed outside the quilt had unknowingly been clenched into fists while a blood-curdling, murderous aura emanated off him.
Richard had no doubt that if Sawyer was at the scene, Patrick would have killed him on the spot!
After Richard finished the story, Wayne scratched his head and added with guilt from the side, "Patrick, Richard and I escaped on our own because..."
Patrick interrupted, "You don't have to explain. I know you're not timid. Given the situation, it'll only increase the threat that Sawyer has on me if you two had stayed there."
Wayne and Richard fell silent. Even though it was the truth, it was still quite shameful to be put on the table.
"I've underestimated him." Patrick continued.
Had he not learned about Sawyer's true personality a few years ago? Why had he still let Amelia negotiate with such a person? Patrick regretted it the more he thought about it.
Wayne then added indignantly, "Bro Patrick, the blame isn't on you. Sawyer is just trash. If it weren't for Amelia pleading, he would still be trapped in Florence!"
Richard then analyzed from a different perspective, "Bro Patrick, I think Sawyer is actually using Amelia to force you to hand over the criminal evidence he left in
Florence."
"Oh." Wayne only came to the realisation then. "So, he didn't do it for revenge?"
"Richard's right." Patrick replied. "Sawyer has held grudges against me for years, but he's been holding back as he won't risk his life over a personal grudge. He might have been agitated this time, so he came up with this idea, wanting to redeem his criminal evidence with my wife and child."
At Streams Villa.
In the bedroom, Sissi and Abner had respectively say when it concerned Amelia's stay. Abner had, of course, strongly believe for Amelia to stay as a 'guest'. But, little did he know that his favourite person was forcibly detained. Otherwise, Abner would not have been that joyful.
Sissi, who was also unaware of the truth, was throwing herself on to Sawyer. She whined in a delicate tone, "Sawyer, why were you talking with Ms. Amelia for so long? It's already so late, if you don't let her go, her man will come to find you!"
Sawyer hooked his arm around Sissi's waist in response and said meaningfully, "If her man comes, won't you be the happiest?" "Hey!" Sissi scolded, but a trace of jealousy flashed in her eyes. "Who are you referring to? Why do I have no idea what you're talking about?"
Sawyer pointed at her nose. "Did I remember it wrongly?"
Sissi then hooked her arms around Sawyer's neck and said with a charming smile, "I guess so, as I have only one man in my heart, and it's you!"
Sawyer could not help smiling, which made his god-like appearance even more enchanting. At that moment, Sissi was stunned by the sight and thought about how Sawyer had transformed from an elegant youth into a mature and cold man over the past few years when she was not around.
When she looked at him, Sissi felt a sudden sense of pride at the idea that such a man wholeheartedly belonged to her. They had even given birth to a child together. Their future must be full of nothing short of happiness.
With such a thought in mind, Sissi's uncomfortable feeling of being ignored by Patrick finally relieved a little.
Knock, knock, knock.
"Sawyer, come out for a moment. I need to talk to you!" It was Amelia who knocked on the door from outside.
Sissi hugged Sawyer even tighter as if Amelia had come to steal her man.
