As Amelia had expected, Brittany had invited Derrick to uphold her justice.

Brittany stepped forward and said matter-of-factly, "Amelia, I've invited Uncle Derrick to witness the matter, so we don't have to trouble him any further. Let me talk to you."

Amelia cast Brittany a sidelong glance and sat down on the chair in front of her. She said expressionlessly, "Okay, what do you want to talk about?"

Amelia did not bother to be polite to Brittany at all.

Although Brittany was fuming with rage, she was cheerful again when she thought about what would happen to Amelia in a minute.

She glanced around the room and said excitedly with a mysterious tone, "Everyone, you are all experienced employees of my father's company. Some of you are even directors who are shareholders, so you have the right to know what I'm going to say next..."

"Brittany, stop it. Cut to the chase," Amelia interrupted impatiently.

Brittany sneered. "You asked for it," Brittany thought viciously. Then she said, "Everyone, what I want to say is that Amelia Ramsay is not qualified to be the acting director of Apex because she is not George Ramsay's and Petty Simmons's biological daughter!"

Everyone went silent.

After a long pause, a commotion then broke out in the conference room.

Jonathan was the first to speak, "That is impossible!!" He had always stood by Amelia's side.

Brittany glanced at him. She did not know any other directors of Apex Construction Corporation except for Kaleb. However, since he had answered her, she had to respond.

"I'm telling the truth." Brittany reached out and put a file onto the table. She raised her chin at Jonathan and said, "This is the evidence."

She had announced the news with such a serious tone, and she then showed the so-called evidence. It was hard for her to not appear suspicious!

"Madam Ramsay..." Audrey could not help but gather her courage to reach out and gently nudge Amelia's shoulder when she saw that Amelia was unresponsive.

Amelia snapped back to her senses because of Audrey. Amelia was confused, though she instinctively felt that Brittany was lying. But, she knew that Derrick would not appear because of a lie! Unless it was all true!

Brittany was satisfied with what she had caused. She wanted Amelia to feel ashamed in front of everybody and ended up with nothing!

"I know that this news is beyond everyone's expectations, but I'm not speaking without proof. If you don't believe me, you can open the file and have a look."

"Madam Ramsay!" Audrey shouted again, with a hint of urgency in her tone this time.

As quick as a flash, Amelia pulled the grey file over before anyone had the chance to look at it.

Everyone watched Amelia's face and her movement. Her expression was more solemn than they had ever seen her, and her fingers were trembling when she opened the file.

"Oh, it seems that our Madam Ramsay can't wait to find out the truth with her own eyes," Kaleb crooned with a strange tone.

"Kaleb Ramsay, shut up!" Jonathan yelled out.

Kaleb sneered at Jonathan. "Jonathan, you can take advantage of these last few seconds to yell at me, because after this... haha."

As Brittany saw the scene right in front of her, she reassured her with hypocrisy. "Oh, that's okay. You can flip it as you like. This is a copy, and the original is with me."

Brittany had taken the copy with her because she was afraid that Amelia would go crazy and tear up the original. If that happened, she would lose the evidence, which that would be terrible.

However, Amelia could not hear what Brittany was saying. Her eyes were fixated on the report.

It was stated that her blood type was Rheseus Macacus, which was 99% inconsistent with both George's and Petty's blood types.

Amelia looked at the statement and felt her ears buzzing. She shook her head, trying to shake off this awful feeling.

However, Brittany tried to provoke Amelia again, "Oh, by the way, it was me and Uncle Derrick who added the blood-type report of dad and Aunt Petty. That way, it emphasises how rare your blood type is, my dear sister."

Kaleb was the one who came up with the idea.

Kaleb said that even if they announced Amelia's blood type was Rheseus Macacus to everybody, it would not be persuasive enough as they did not know George's and Petty's blood types. What if one of them also had Rheseus Macacus as their blood type?

Therefore, Kaleb suggested Brittany to get George's and Petty's blood-type reports and send the reports to the hospital to compare. Eventually, they would find out something.

George's blood type was easy to get because he was lying in the hospital.

As for Petty, Brittany had no idea.

But, everything changed when she made contact with the Simmons family. The Simmons family offered Petty's blood type report from when she was alive, which was why the current scene was happening.
