"Hmm?" Amelia said softly. She could not understand why Patrick did not know about George and Alice.

Then, Owen explained, "Amelia, after you were kidnapped, Patrick suggested exchanging himself for you to Sawyer."

"Gramps and I were afraid that he would do something stupid, so we confiscated all his communication tools. In addition, gramps also sent several troops of special forces to Land of Fragrance."

"Anyone who entered and exited Land of Fragrance had to go through a thorough search and interrogation. By these strict rules, Patrick knew lesser about the outside world."

"Really?” She hurriedly questioned Owen for confirmation. "Owen, are you sure you didn't mishear?"

Owen scratched his head and reassured with a smile, "The doctor told me that. It had to be true, right?"

Amelia turned back to grab Patrick's hand and said with a tearful grin, "Mr. Hopper, the medicine you gave my dad must have worked. Thank you! Thank you so much!"

Infected by her elation, Patrick smiled and said, "According to the weekly treatment course, with a total of sixteen treatments, the toxins in Dad's body have been removed. All there's left is for him to recover. I believe he'll heal soon."

Amelia listened to the inflow of good news and felt joy. She blinked her reddened eyes and repeatedly thanked Patrick.

"Silly girl." Patrick touched Amelia's hair and said lovingly, "I've told you many times. You don't need to thank me."

Owen teased, "Stop, stop. You've thanked me too many times today. If you continue to thank me, I'll be on cloud nine. I don't think we need to rely on power sources anymore then. I can bring you two along with me to the sky."

Amelia chuckled as she heard this.

They were full of laughter, which made the others rest on the place in a good mood too.

On the plane, there were only two who were feeling bitter. They were Sawyer and Sissi, who had been captured.

By this time, Sissi had already woken up. She had fallen into a short coma because of shock. After being pushed and tugged around, how could she not wake up?

When she woke up, she found that herself handcuffed and strange men were sitting around her. She glanced at her surroundings and saw clouds outside the porthole. Panic filled her eyes. Then, she murmured, "Sawyer?"

She looked for him, who could make her feel at ease, but her voice only attracted the angry glares from the surrounding men.

Everyone was giving Sissi a long face, and nobody cared about her good- looking appearance that usually worked like a charm. Everyone had a hatred for this 'mysterious woman' who had caused an uproar in Northville.

Patrick and Sawyer would not have become enemies if not for her. Furthermore, Sawyer would not have kidnapped Amelia, and they would not have to come all the way here to fight. It was all Sissi's fault!

Sissi was stared daggers by the group of men, so she shrank back instinctively.

She knew that she had fallen into Patrick's hands, so she could not help but ask in a low voice, "Can... Can I see Patrick?"
