The next day, in Northville.

When Patrick brought Amelia out of the private plane, the Hopper and Ramsay families were already waiting for them at the airport.

When Amelia saw the familiar faces of Gramps Hopper, Granny Hopper, Howard, Alice, Nora, and Florence, Amelia could not help but giggle widely.

The six people standing opposite her were already welling up with tears at the sight of Amelia.

Noticing Amelia was speeking up her pace, Patrick was afraid that she would fall, so he gently held her waist and said, "Amy, slow down. Be careful with the child."

"It's okay!" Amelia said to him briskly and pulled him forward in a hurry.

When they were approaching their families, Patrick let go of Amelia. Then, Amelia threw herself into the arms of Alice and rest as soon as he released her.

After giving her family a warm hug, Amelia's tears fell like pearls again.

To be honest, Amelia had cried more times in the past two days than in the last three months when she was held captive. She sobbed, "Gramps, granny, Dad, Aunt Alice, Nora, Florence! I'm back!"

Granny Hopper thought that if anything were to happen to Amelia, she would make Eve pay with her life!

At the sight of Granny Hopper's agitation, Amelia comforted her, "Granny, I'm fine. Don't get riles up. Take care of your health."

Then, Amelia turned to look at Alice, who had burst into tears. "Aunt Alice, I'm back. Aren't you happy to see me?"

"Since you're happy, don't cry, okay?" Amelia then brought the topic in a happy direction, "I heard from Owen on the way back that Dad's situation has improved. As long as there are no accidents and with rehabilitation, he can regain the ability to speak and walk, right?"

"Yes!" When it came to this, Alice cheered up. "The doctor said your father should've gradually regained his ability to speak and walk two months ago. But he must have been struck by what happened at your wedding, so he was slow with the rehabilitation. I was so worried that I didn't know what to do. Fortunately, you came back. Amelia, do you know how important your return means for us!"

Amelia was upset as she heard this. "Aunt Alice, I want to come back to you early too, but..."

Alice's heart wrenched as she replied, "I know. This is Eve and Sawyer's fault! They made our lives a mess! Don't worry. Eve has been taken to the police station. I'll uphold justice for you!"

Alice's words were not only directed to Amelia but also to express her stance on the matter to the Hopper family.

Although Owen had sent Eve into the jail himself, no one could guarantee that the Hopper family would not release Eve after rescuing Amelia.

After all, Eve was a member of the Hopper family. Therefore, Alice's words had a clear standpoint, which was that she would not tolerate Eve.

Because Amelia was occupied by Granny Hopper and Alice, the rest could only carefully inspect her from head to toe from the side. The heavy stone in their hearts finally lifted when they took in her rosy cheeks and round belly.

Howard immediately expressed his attitude after he heard what Alice said, "Alice, don't worry. I've decided to divorce Eve. She's no longer a part of the Hopper family. After that, she'll be punished. She did this to herself. The Hopper family won't interject!"

At the sound of this, Alice's expression became solemn. "Howard, I'll remember what you said today. I hope you won't go back on your words."

"I won't. I promise you on behalf of the entire Hopper family," Howard assured sincerely.

He did not mind Alice's unyielding attitude. After all, Alice's daughter had gone missing because of his wife.

In the past three months, Alice was restrained to not come to their house to cause a scene. So, how could Howard ask her to forgive Eve's behavior? Howard was not that thick-skinned.

"Granny, don't keep hogging on Amelia. Let me talk to her too."

Florence said into Granny Hopper's ear as if she had been waiting for a long time.

"Silly girl!" Granny Hopper turned back and rebuked Florence. "Amelia had just got down from a ten- hour flight. She must be exhausted. Don't disturb her!"

Florence held back her words and thought, "You guys are the ones who won't stop bothering Amelia."

"I know, granny. I promise to not go too far, okay?"

What came into her view were all of their anxious and concerned faces. So, she quickly said, "I'm fine. I just slipped a little."

After a pause, she said to Patrick, "Mr. Hopper, please put me down. I'm fine."

Patrick could not bear to let go of her. Instead, he hugged her tighter.

Owen chimed in from the side, "I think Amelia is exhausted. Before she came back, she had been in a state of anxiety and fear. Later, she had a talk with us on the plane and didn't have a good rest. I think we should send her back to Hopper's Mansion first and talk to her later. Gramps, what do you think?"

"Do as you say."

Since the elder had spoken, the others nodded in agreement.

Florence ran ahead to lead the way. After a while, Amelia saw that there was a Lincoln parked outside the airport. It was the Hopper family's car.

After carefully carrying Amelia into the car, Patrick immediately asked her, "Amy, do you feel uncomfortable other than feeling tired?"

In the next moment, Gramps Hopper got into the car and saw Amelia was pressing her hand against Patrick's mouth. He could not help asking, "What's wrong?"

After prying off Amelia's hand, Patrick ignored her opposition and replied, "Gramps,

Amy has a fever. I'm going to take her to the hospital!"

At the sound of that, Amelia pouted. Then, she said to gramps in a sweet tone, "Gramps, it's just a slight fever. I'll be fine after a good sleep. I don't need to go to the hospital!"

She finally returned after so long, so she did not want to chat with her family in the cold ward.

However, Gramps Hopper said, "Amelia, I agree with Patrick. You should go to the hospital for a checkup. You can't be careless even if it's just a cold."
