Eason walked up to Jonathan.

“It’s so ate. What brings you to the hospital, Mr. Kelly? Not feeling well?” Jonathan asked politely, one hand in his pocket.

Eason smiled, “We just moved into Forlisle Rose Estates, and Yalena’s having a hard time getting used to the place. I’m here to pick up some medicine for her. I heard you live around here too, Mr. Lynn. What a coincidence.”

Jonathan’s expression turned icy. “You moved your

hole family here right after the scandal? What’s your angle?”

Eason’s face fell at Jonathan’s sarcasm. Eason used to think well of Jonathan, but now he didn’t. It was all because Jonathan had broken Valena’s heart.

“It’s just a 90–million villa, nothing special. Anyone can buy one. I’ll just treat it as a gift for Yalena’s future child. If you don’t want Yalena, there are plenty of men out there who do,” Eason said.

Jonathan smirked, his expression unchanged. “Then I wish Yalena luck finding a suitable man, Mr. Kelly.” He turned to leave.

Eason stared at Jonathan’s back and shouted, “Hey, you. Stop right there.”

‘This brat,‘ Eason thought. ‘I can’t really call him arrogant. He never acts all high and mighty. But if I say he’s not, there’s always that sharp glint in his

eyes.‘

Jonathan turned back and asked Eason, “What is it now?”

Eason walked up beside him, his gaze sharp. “Mr. Lynn, thanks to you, the Kelly family has made quite a fool of itself lately. Don’t you think you owe us, and especially Yalena, an apology?”

Jonathan raised an eyebrow. “Mr. Kelly, aren’t you getting things mixed up? After everything Yalena has done, shouldn’t she be the one apologizing to me

and Teresa?”

Eason was furious. ‘Jonathan just won’t take the easy way out,‘ he thought. “You were the one who wanted to marry Yalena. Now you’re the one messing with my family.

“What do you take us for? Something you can pick up or throw away whenever you feel like it? Do you really think I am that easy to push around?”

Jonathan’s dark eyes were icy. “I have no idea how I supposedly messed with you. I never had any feelings for Yalena, and I never made your family any promises.”

Eason shot back. “Irene came to us again and again, talking about marriage and inviting us to dinner. Are you saying you had nothing to do with that? Don’t pretend you didn’t know.

“Irene represents your family’s honor. Now you’re burning bridges and dragging the Kelly family’s name through the mud. If you don’t give me a proper apology, I won’t let this go.”

Jonathan fell silent. ‘Irene’s sabotaging me again,’ he thought. But Eason had a point. Whatever Irene did, it reflected on him.

“What kind of apology are you looking for, Mr. Kelly?” Jonathan asked.

“I want you to transfer ten percent of the Group’s shares to Yalena as compensation,” Eason demanded.

“Absolutely not.” Jonathan shot back. Ten percent was a huge chunk. Jonathan had already decided those shares would go to Teresa and their child, so they would be set for life.

“Fine, if you won’t hand it over, Jonathan, don’t blame me for what happens next. I’ve been in the business world for years. I didn’t survive this long by being a pushover,” Eason warned. With that, he turned and stormed off.

Meanwhile, Teresa went to use the restroom.
