Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 156

Christian brought news: "We can basically pull the plug at any time, kick her out of the game. Still, I thought I should check with you first."

Emilia smiled. "Perfect timing."

When she'd sent Joyce to Odette to fetch the security footage, Emilia had already started putting together a plan. But now the situation was playing out even better than she'd imagined.

Christian had taken care of the internal mess at Donovan Entertainment.

Apparently, that charity gala had paid off.

She made a few quick adjustments, then turned to the small group gathered around. "Christian, you mentioned before that Vivienne has a seriously talented PR team. So whatever we do, we need to make sure it's a direct hit."

Christian nodded in agreement.

Seven understood this too. He'd once had a soft spot for Vivienne, but now that he knew her true colors, everything became clear.

He still remembered that old blog post—"The Kind Will Become Angels to Protect You: Why ‘Saint' Should Never Be a Slur." On the surface, it was eloquent and gracious, but every line was a veiled attack, twisting things to turn Vivienne into some sort of mythic do-gooder.

Emilia pressed on. "The third live broadcast of Voice of the Divine is the day after tomorrow. Let me outline my idea, and you all can weigh in. I'm thinking we move in stages. Step one…"

The day before the broadcast, a lot happened.

First, an old online controversy—#Yesterday Once More Live Audio#—started quietly bubbling up again.

A user named Seven uploaded a video.

He claimed it was a recording from the concert.

It was, in truth, a shaky bootleg—filmed from the middle of the crowd, faces obscured, the vocals muffled. Useless in any real sense. This was the same bad recording Seven had gotten from a friend in a fan group.

Still, people flocked to watch.

Vivienne's camp noticed too. Jack, watching the video, turned to her and said, "Don't worry. If this is all they have after so long, it's nothing."

Vivienne sneered. "Let's remind him who he's dealing with."
