Tyler’s expression didn’t change; he simply lowered his eyes ever so slightly, making it impossible to read his emotions.
Just as Christian, growing impatient, was about to walk away, Tyler spoke up again.
“Emilia told me you two are friends.” His voice was low, pitched so only Christian could hear.
There was no hint of feeling in his tone.
“So what?” Christian shot him a sideways glance.
“Take care of her.” Tyler raised his eyes, meeting Christian’s gaze. “As a friend.”
Before Christian could retort, Tyler added, “Thanks.”
His voice took on a rare note of sincerity. “If you need anything, let me know.”
For a moment, Christian was caught off guard, at a loss for words. A second ago, he’d been ready to lash out.
After a brief pause, he muttered, “I don’t need you to tell me that.”
With that, he strode off, long legs eating up the distance.
As he stalked backstage, Christian grumbled under his breath. What was Tyler playing at? Keeping Vivienne close, but still thinking about Emilia? Planning to run back to Emilia once Vivienne was out of the picture?
Christian shuddered at the thought. That’s actually… possible.
He mimed a gag, disgust twisting his face. Ugh. Gross.
Tyler didn’t say another word, just watched calmly as Christian disappeared backstage.
…
The fourth live broadcast of *Voice of the Divine* was nothing short of electrifying.
It was the semifinals now.
And everyone had heard the rumors—the Glenn family was joining the fray.
The Ericksons might be the most powerful of the Big Three in entertainment, but Tyler was only here for Vivienne; the Glenns were a different story.
The Glenn family practically ran the entire luxury and fashion industry.
If you could catch their eye, the opportunities in high-end branding and style would be endless.
