Vivienne held the contract in her hand, her smile growing even brighter.

Theodore’s car was parked at the curb. When he spotted her, he gave a quick honk, then stepped out to meet her.

Relief washed over him as soon as he saw Emilia safe and sound.

“Are you alright?” Theodore asked, opening the passenger door for her.

“I’m fine,” Emilia replied. Once he was in the driver’s seat, she handed him the amended agreement. “They just shortened the timeline.”

He glanced over it, nodded, and started the car.

“What’s your plan now?” Theodore asked as he pulled onto the road.

There wouldn’t be enough time if she relied solely on launching the new product.

Emilia smiled and leaned closer, whispering something to him.

Theodore raised his eyebrows. “So you’ve been preparing for this all along?”

Emilia nodded. “Yes, I started the process earlier, but I’ll need to adjust the schedule a bit.”

“Take me to Donovan Entertainment, please,” Emilia said, looking ahead at the road.

Theodore made a quick turn, heading for a different route.

“I had George meet with Christian last night to discuss a partnership. Does that bother you?” Theodore asked after a moment.

“Not at all.” Emilia understood the reasoning behind it, so she said, “Christian is pragmatic—if there’s business, he’ll take it.”

Theodore grinned and nodded. “Exactly. George told me that Christian said, ‘Only a fool leaves money on the table.’”

Emilia couldn’t help but laugh.

That was classic Christian—a perfect example of his style.

Before heading to Donovan Entertainment, Theodore took Emilia out for breakfast. Afterward, he dropped her off at the studio.
