Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 94

The entire room erupted.

The auctioneer's voice rang out, electrified with excitement, echoing through the villa: "All in! Bidder 888 is going all in! Let's give him a round of applause!"

A thunderous wave of clapping nearly shook the roof loose.

The auction had reached a fever pitch.

If the earlier discussions were just murmurs, now everyone was speaking openly, their voices rising above the din:

"Oh my God, all in! When's the last time anyone went all in at an auction like this?"

"Yeah, the last time was a year ago—remember that massive antique? People kept raising the stakes until a mysterious bidder went all in and took it for twelve billion!"

"And before that, three years ago, someone went all in on that artist's painting—seventy billion, sold to another mystery buyer!"

"There was also that famous modern sculpture in Solmaris. Same thing happened—a mystery bidder went all in and walked away with it for seventy billion."

Amid the excited chatter, someone asked, puzzled, "You keep talking about ‘all in'—but what does that even mean? Can someone explain?"

A friend leaned in, eager to clarify. "It's what Tyler just did. That gesture means he wants the tanzanite—no matter how high anyone bids, he'll top it."

The first man frowned. "But can just anyone go all in? What if they can't pay up? Wouldn't that make a mess of things?"

"The auction house has its own rules," someone replied knowingly. "The Donovans run this business—they know what they're doing. I heard once someone went all in but couldn't pay. Didn't end well."

"Yeah, for private auctions like this, the Donovans already know everyone's financials. At smaller auctions, they'll even check your credit before you can bid."

The man nodded. "Makes sense."

"Not that it matters now—it's Tyler we're talking about!"

Exactly. Tyler.

The sole heir of the Erickson family—the most powerful of the Alden City titans.

Suddenly, the lights dimmed, then flared back on. Beams of colored light raced across the ceiling like dragons, casting dazzling patterns as the room exploded in celebration.

Now everyone was curious. "What was it?"

The response was hesitant. "A document."

"A document? That's it?"

"Yeah. No one really knows what it was about. That auction wasn't public—very few people even heard about it. I only know snippets myself."

Upstairs, on the second floor.

Vivienne stood a short distance away, her eyes fixed on Tyler. Her heart hammered in her chest.

Now that she understood what "all in" truly meant, she could barely sit still.

After the thrill of the moment subsided, a deep sense of satisfaction settled over her—as though everything was falling perfectly into place.
