With this thought, Josie felt even more remorseful. She decided she had to go find Delilah and apologize to her right away.
She had just reached the ground floor when she saw Sean coming over, carrying a substantial amount of food.
“Where are you going?” Sean stopped abruptly and looked at her.
Josie pointed toward the doctor’s office building and said, “I am going to find Professor Wilcourt. I want to apologize to her.”
“There’s no need to rush!” Sean handed her some food.
He added, “Eat something first. Once you’re done, I’ll go with you, and we can also bring some food to my aunt along the way.”
Josie sighed, gazing at the steaming food, entirely devoid of appetite.
She asked, “Sean, did I make a mistake?”
Sean glanced at her and said, “Don’t sigh. It’s going to stop you from growing any taller.”
“I’m not a kid anymore. I stopped growing a long time ago.” Josie, feeling much better, didn’t go upstairs.
Instead, she found a sheltered spot and sat down with Sean to eat.
Sean watched her eat, the corners of his mouth curving slightly.
He siad, Ignorance is not a crime. You meant to promite the Reedshaw Acupuncture Technique, so it cannot be said that you were wrong.
“It’s just that my aunt has PTSD about this topic, and I’m afraid she may not be able to resolve it in a short time.”
Josie ate the food, but she was so upset that she couldn’t even feel their taste.
She remarked, ‘I heard from Claire that this incident happened more than twenty years ago,
“Even after all this time, Professor Wilcourt’s reaction is still so intense, which shows just how deeply she was hurt by what happened back then.”
“It’s not just this matter.” Sean gestured to her not to overthink.

He continued, “This incident can only be regarded as a prelude.

“Subsequently, the Reedshaw family underwent a series of upheavals and did not achieve stability until a couple of years ago.
“It was not easy for my aunt to keep the Aloville Traditional Medicine Hospital. She intended to proceed cautiously with every step.
“She wanted to refrain from attracting media attention out of fear that everything might repeat itself. Such caution is entirely understandable.”
Sean patted Josie on the shoulder and said, “You are unfamiliar with the history of the Reedshaw family and have spent too long in Professor Lawson’s team.
“So you have become accustomed to his usual tricks with the media. Understandably, you want to use the media to promote acupuncture.”
Josie blushed at his words.
She said, “I was just arrogant. What Professor Wilcourt has always wanted was never for the whole world to know about acupuncture.
“She simply wanted to have a few more students who genuinely want to study acupuncture. I
have failed her.”
Sean let out a low chuckle. “Don’t put yourself down. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a student like you. You study acupuncture more diligently and earnestly than I do.”
Josie put away the food and said, “You do not need to praise me. I am aware of my situation. Let us go and find Professor Wilcourt.”
The office building was on the top floor of the outpatient building. It was a place where doctors usually held meetings and rested.
Josie was visiting for the first time. Not knowing the exact location, she could only follow behind Sean.
It was shortly after 4 p.m., when doctors were at their busiest. There were hardly any doctors in the entire office area.
Sean brought Josie to the front of Professor Wilcourt’s office. Just as they were about to knock, they heard the sound of an argument coming from inside.
Claire said, “That mission was imposed upon me by you. I have never agreed with it.
“You decided my undergraduate major, and again for my graduate studies. Now, don’t even

It was obvious that she was really angry.

Delilah was patting the table as she said, “As a member of the Reedshaw family, shouldn’t you bear the responsibility of inheriting the Reedshaw family’s medical legacy?
“Back then, when I chose your major for you, you did not object. Now that you regret it, it is already too late.
Claire’s voice softened, filled with helplessness. “I am not here to discuss this with you. I am simply informing you that I will be preparing for my doctoral entrance examination starting
next semester.
“I will no longer be coming here. Please refrain from making any further arrangements regarding my affairs.”
As soon as these words were spoken, a thud sounded from within the door.
Then the office door opened from the inside, and Claire rushed out.
