Josie opened the door and said, “Wait a moment, I’ll just grab my books.”

She carried her textbooks and followed Sean to the study.

When Delilah saw Josie entering the room, she gestured for her to close the door.

“From now on, you will attend two classes every afternoon and one class after dinner. Mornings are for finishing your homework and practicing acupuncture. Do you have any questions?” Delilah asked.

“No,” Josie replied. The cost of tutoring for college students was extremely high. The Reedshaw family not only provided her with free accommodation and meals but also offered personalized instruction.

With such favorable treatment, Josie could not possibly have any complaints—she had even thought about asking about the tuition fees a few times.

However, Delilah did not give her the opportunity to speak. “We will not have class tonight; I have another matter to discuss with you,” Delilah said.

She tossed a book on traditional medicine nursing to Josie.

“Take some time to finish reading over the next two days. Starting tomorrow, you will accompany me on patient consultations. The patient is Mr. Longley. All consultation fees will be retained by me; your portion will count as a tuition fee for the lessons I give. Do you agree?” Delilah asked.

Josie had no reason to disagree. “Yes.”

“Moreover, any extra hours of tutoring I give you from now on must be paid back through your assistant’s salary. Are you okay with that?” Delilah’s face was stern.

When Josie stepped out of Delilah’s study, it suddenly hit her. ‘Did Delilah just say she’s going to treat Mr. Longley? Does this mean that, after the acupuncture session that day, they’ve accepted the idea of using acupuncture as a treatment? That’s wonderful news!‘ Josie thought.

Josie’s face lit up with delight. She held the book in her arms and returned to her room in high spirits. Once inside, she wasted no time on anything else; she sat down at once and began reading.

Meanwhile, in another study a few rooms away, Sean was stopped by the Reedshaw family’s third child, Elliot Reedshaw.

“Is that girl capable?” Elliot looked at Sean.

Sean nodded. “Aunt Delilah had set her sights on Josie early on, but before she could approach Josie, David took her in. Later, he burned his bridges, and Josie

came to us.”

“Oh?” Elliot looked genuinely surprised. “So, she left David’s team, studied a popular major until her senior year, and then abruptly switched to a less common

field?”
