David waved his hand and said, “You are the project leader. Assigning one or two people to the team should not be an issue. There is no need to report such
matters to me.
“Besides, Natalie is my student, so it’s only natural that she can join my project.”
“That’s wonderful!” said Audrey, looking delighted. “Although I am the project leader, you have the deepest understanding of the research. Therefore, decisions regarding which researchers are needed should be made by you.”
Her manner of placing David above all else completely delighted him.
The two made eye contact, then happily held hands and boarded the vehicle together…
Xander’s car did not leave the parking lot until David and Audrey had departed.
Kenneth was somewhat perplexed. ‘Mr. Nelson, didn’t you always think Tom had a questionable character? Why are you helping him this time?‘
“I’m not helping him!” Xander’s brows furrowed.
He said, “Are you aware that David and Delilah are bitter rivals? The Reedshaw family can’t tolerate David, and likewise, David is unwilling to see the Reedshaw family rise in the medical field.
“Their mutual checks and balances are advantageous to me and pose no harm. Moreover, although David’s intentions may be questionable, his academic abilities are astonishing. I am also interested in seeing what level of accomplishment he will ultimately attain.”
A look of delight appeared on Kenneth’s face, “I see. Are you trying to humiliate Xandrov, to make him realize his limitations, and to stop him from thinking highly of himself because he’s relying on Mr. Longley, not knowing the better?”
“Kenneth!” Xander furrowed his brows.
“You have been with me for so long, yet your temperament is still impulsive. I have told you that you must learn to control your emotions, no matter the

“Understood, Mr. Nelson!” Kenneth agreed verbally, but the smile on his face had long since disappeared.
‘Xandrov and Josie, who once looked down on me and rejected me, one day, I would make them all come to beg me!‘ thought Kenneth.

The New Year had passed in the blink of an eye.
Josie had lived for twenty–two years, and it was the happiest New Year of her life. She tasted delicacies she had never eaten before and stayed in luxurious rooms she had never stayed in before.
She was accompanied as she awaited the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve and received gifts from her elders.
Not just in this lifetime, even counting her previous one, it had been the happiest New Year she had ever had.
Shortly after the New Year, Lindsey called to inform them that the equipment had arrived and that they needed to arrange their vehicles to unload the equipment at the dock.
Because the equipment was purchased in the name of the research institute, the funding was separately provided by two companies.
Upon arrival, the equipment was owned by two separate project teams.
Therefore, until the equipment was handed over to the research institute, the acceptance and transportation of the equipment were handled separately by personnel from each of the two companies.
On Josie’s side, the receiver for the project group was Jeremy, who was accompanied by Sean and Josie.
Josie was not originally required to receive the equipment. However, it was reported that Lindsey specifically requested her to do so.

When the group arrived at the research institute, they happened to see a truck carrying equipment entering the institute’s courtyard.
Audrey stood in front of the truck, waiting for everyone to unload. Upon seeing Jeremy and the others, she walked over, bringing Jaden and Vincent with her.
Audrey pointed at the research institute, saying, “Jeremy, I heard you also secured sponsorship and bought some equipment?
“In my view, our facility isn’t big, so there’s no need to buy so much equipment. We’re all part of the same institute. If you need equipment for your experiments, you can absolutely use ours.”
Jeremy chuckled, saying, “That’s not necessary. The main issue is that the equipment you bought probably can’t support our experiment. Sean, go and keep an eye on the equipment and make sure they don’t unload it in the wrong place.”
‘Such bold claims!‘ thought Audrey. ‘The Monroe family has allocated a significant amount of funding this time, and we have purchased only the most advanced equipment. I don’t believe Jeremy and his team’s equipment can surpass ours.
