‘She stands next to Josie, but her passion for me hasn’t died yet. That is why she is waiting for me with food, Aiden thought happily.

Zoey showed a smiling face and extended her hand, so Aiden was convinced that she still liked him.

“Colby, you must be starved. Take it.” Zoey waved her hand toward Colby who was right behind Aiden.

Before Aiden reached for the food, Zoey handed her bag to Colby. Instantly, Aiden wished to chop off his hand, which embarrassed him.

His face turned red and then livid. How embarrassing! Handsome and smart, he was admired by many students, but he just got slighted.

‘How dare Zoey! Didn’t she confess to me? How could she move on so quickly? How wanton! I shouldn’t have changed my opinion of her,‘ Aiden thought.

With indignation, he could not help but look back. He then saw Zoey and Colby talking and smiling. Then, Colby took the food out of the bag and stuffed it into his mouth.

The food seemed tasty, and Colby looked at Zoey softly.

Aiden felt hurt by this loving scene. Anger flashed past his handsome face, and he soon got carried away by it.

It seemed he considered Zoey his girlfriend who was cheating on him right before his face.

“Enough, Aiden.” Josie knew Aiden well, and his expression made her deride, “They were born for each other. Your jealousy can change nothing. A lot happened in the past semester, so you don’t think that Zoey still likes you, do you?”

Aiden felt a tightness in his chest. He had a sharp tongue, but his opponent was Josie.

He said, “I know that you hate me, but I don’t regret what I did. Like learning, I think one should be faithful and persistent in love.

“I don’t feel envious because I am waiting for a woman who really understands me. You are not that woman, and neither is Zoey. In fact, you two aren’t qualified to say that you like me.”

After that speech, Aiden walked away.

“Did you like him?” Sean pulled a long face.

Josie shook her head. “I was not blind.” She had liked Aiden, but not anymore.

Sean seemed relieved. “What a nerd!”

Sean was right. Aiden was such a nerd. He was a chauvinist pig firmly believing that women were inferior to men and that no woman could surpass him.

“Forget him!” Colby took Zoey’s hand. “All of us were deceived. Without Josie, we might still consider him prefect.”

Sean responded, “Indeed. Some people are so deceitful that even they are fooled by themselves.”

“You are right.” Josie gave her agreement. “Let the past be the past. By the way, Colby, how were your exams?”

Colby smiled. “Don’t you

know?”

After a short silence, Josie’s face lit up with surprise. “No way!”

“Yes!” With a faint smile, Colby waved his hand. “Let’s go. I am starved.”

“What is going on?” Both Zoey and Sean were bewildered.

“Why are you two speaking in riddles? I don’t understand.” Zoey held onto Josie’s arm. “Josie?”
