The team leader scoffed. “Try your formula? Why would I waste my time on giving your random thought a try? What gives you the nerve to tell me what to do?
“Don’t get ahead of yourself just because you published one paper.
“You haven’t even graduated from college. You’re not even qualified to be my research assistant, and you think you can tell me how to do my job?
“Professor Wilcourt, I don’t care what your intentions are. I will not accept this girl’s proposal. If you think I’m not capable, you can just fire me.
“Don’t use this girl to humiliate mel
Josie furrowed her brow. She stepped forward before anyone else had a chance to speak.
She said, “Digby, since you joined the project team, Professor Wilcourt entrusted you with the most crucial and complex experiments. This clearly shows his trust and recognition in you.
“You’ve worked with him for ten years. You must know what kind of person he is.
“If he truly wanted to humiliate you, he would never have agreed to let you join the project in the first place.
“After all, you were formerly Mrs. Kinberg’s lab assistant!”
Josie continued, “I know you don’t believe me, but I can assure you.
“I’m not speaking carelessly, and my doubts are not baseless.
“Although I am only a senior student, to keep up with David’s other students, I have already studied three years of relevant postgraduate cytology courses!”
After speaking, she turned around and began writing molecular formulas on the blackboard.
Then, she said, “Calculations show that your previous experimental methods and processes were roughly like this.
“The data obtained from a series of experiments were similar, but vastly different from the data associated with the
project experiment.
“Look at these sets of experimental methods. This is our inherent way of doing cytology. Under traditional thinking, such experiments are not a problem.
“However, I spent several years with Professor Lawson. He prefers a non–conventional way of thinking
“When all your experimental methods are flawless, you still can’t obtain the correct data…”
Josie eloquently explained, finally writing her brand new experimental formula on the blackboard.
She said, “With this new way of thinking, we can easily obtain this experimental formula.

“Digby, I am young and not very articulate, If my words have offended you, I apologize. However, trust me and try my experimental method.
“If we still cannot meet our experimental requirements and obtain the correct experimental data, then I will accept
whatever punishment you have for me, but…”
Josie paused.
After seeing Josie’s calculated experimental process, and hearing her mention David and state that she had completed her postgraduate courses, Digby George’s attitude softened,
He said, “But if your formula proves effective, I’ll not only apologize to you, but I’ll also welcome your guidance and corrections to all my future experiments!”
For a senior researcher, hearing him say that was the highest affirmation for Josie.
Josie’s expression softened, and she breathed a slight sigh of relief, then looked up and smiled.
She said, “I wouldn’t presume to offer guidance. I’m already happy as long as you are willing to try my formula!”
Digby haughtily turned his head. “You better pray your formula works, otherwise…”
He turned and glanced at Jeremy. “Professor Wilcourt, what I just said was a bit harsh.
“Don’t take it personally. It’s all for the experiment. I’m just anxious because I haven’t been getting the results I want.”
Jeremy waved his hand, looking weary. “Alright. I know what kind of person you are. Go on, don’t feel burdened. I believe you’ll definitely succeed!”
As soon as Digby left, Jeremy looked at Josie. “It seems I still underestimated you.
“No wonder Delilah made an exception for you, though she hasn’t accepted a student for years.
“Tripp, take her back. Don’t mention a word about what happened today!”
