Freya changed into a new dress in the fitting room.

Ryan truly had great taste. This dress didn’t stand out at first glance, but it was surprisingly well–suited to her style.
It was elegant yet vibrant, not overly flamboyant, but still held the kind of charm that made it hard to look away.
The heels fit perfectly–and they were only three inches high, not like the black pair she’d bought online–the ones with nearly five–inch heels.
Walking in those all day at work felt like pure torture.
Three inches was just right–comfortable to walk in, too.
Several female staff members gathered nearby, visibly impressed.
One of the staff said, “Mr. Reed really has great taste. This outfit suits you perfectly.”
When Freya slowly stepped out of the fitting room, Ryan was on the phone with his back to her.
He only turned around when he heard footsteps. He looked slightly stunned and stared at her for a long moment, completely captivated.
It was only when one of the staff called out, “Mr. Reed, have a look.”
Ryan finally snapped out of it, quickly finished his phone call, hung up, and walked over.
Freya asked, “How is it?”
He coughed lightly twice to clear his throat, deliberately furrowed his brows, and said, “Not bad.”
The clerk smiled and said, “It’s so beautiful!”
Ryan snorted and turned away, “Let’s go. Hurry up.”
Ryan walked away quickly, and Freya had to follow in her high heels. “Are you in a rush for something? Slow down, I can’t keep up!”
She thought, based on Ryan’s usual temperament, he would only walk faster and faster.
But today, Ryan didn’t do that. Instead, he stopped and waited for her.
He watched her jog to catch up, then started walking again, but much slower than before, obviously accommodating her
pace.
Freya said, “I wonder who invented high heels. They’re such a torture.”
Ryan glanced at her feet. Her delicate, fair feet were tucked into silver, rhinestone–studded high heels, looking especially dainty and cute.
He only looked once and quickly turned away, retracting his gaze. “If you can’t handle high heels, just wear them less.”
“How could that be? Even the female staff in the hotel have to wear high heels. I’m a manager, after all. I can’t possibly wear
flats,” she said.

Chapter 79
“Who says it’s not acceptable? If I say it is, then it is.”

Freya gently poked him. “What exactly are you taking me to do? And you even bought me new clothes… Oh, you haven’t paid yet. Are we just leaving like this?”
Ryan glanced at her. “It’s on account. We settle it once a year.”
She asked, “So you really come here to buy women’s clothes often?”
Ryan frowned. “Why are you asking so much? Are you that interested in my private life?”
“I’m not interested. Not at all. Buy as much as you want, keep them and dress up in your room if you like. Be a lonely crossdresser.”
Ryan let out a silent laugh.
She really was something else.
When returning to the car, several dogs started barking excitedly.
Ryan patted each dog’s head, but when one tried to nuzzle Freya, he reached out and gently pushed the dog’s head away.
The dog felt very aggrieved and whimpered.
Freya felt a bit sorry for it too. “Why did you do that? It’s just welcoming me.”
