Chapter 81
The dinner gathering couldn’t accomplish its purpose, so everyone left soon after.
Ryan held her hand and walked with her to see the Riley family off, truly looking like a younger couple sending their elders
away.
As soon as they left, Freya immediately pulled her hand out of his palm.
Ryan looked at his empty hand, feeling a bit lost.
“Freya.” Someone called her name.
Freya looked closely and realized it was Chloe.
She immediately waved in response.
Ryan asked, “Your friend?”
“Yes.”
“Looks a bit familiar,” Ryan squinted. “Wasn’t she the photographer hiding outside and secretly taking photos of us the day you talked to me about the divorce agreement?”
Freya suddenly felt guilty. “How do you know everything? Did you plant a camera on me?”
Ryan smiled. “I’m a lawyer. I’d never do anything that invades someone’s privacy. Go ahead, talk with your friend. I’ll settle the bill.”
“Okay.”
“Wait,” Ryan said, “You hold the dog.”
Freya had no choice but to take the dog and walk over to Chloe’s car.
Chloe was stunned. “Freya, was that man just now your boyfriend? The one you asked me to secretly photograph last time?”
“No, no,” Freya said, “He’s my …”
“Your husband?! Oh my gosh, you’re married? Wait, did you already divorce Liam? That was fast!”
Freya corrected her, “Let me finish. Not husband–boss. I’m working at his hotel now as the hotel manager. He brought me here today to meet… a special guest.”
‘Mr. and Mrs. Riley could count as special guests, right?‘ she thought.
Chloe nodded slightly. “So he brought you to meet a client.”
Freya said, “Yeah, something like that. By the way, how did you end up in Sairo?”
Chloe looked embarrassed. “Don’t get me started. I took a job. I’m following a couple here for their wedding trip in Sairo, doing photos.”
“I see. If you’re free, contact me and let’s have dinner. By the way, Lily is also in Sairo. We can all meet up then.”

Chapter 81
Ryan paid the bill and walked out in utter boredom.
Of course he knew Chloe; she and Freya were desk mates from junior high to high school, and also among her closest friends. They even went to the restroom together during class breaks, only separating when they started college.
Her parents ran a small shop at home, and her boyfriend worked at Sylvera Tech.
Chloe started her own business as a wedding photographer and did quite well, though her photography skills needed improvement and weren’t as professional as the people he hired.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have taken such terrible photos of their first close encounter.
