Chapter 97
Freya had little appetite.
After dinner, she said, “I’ll sleep on the couch in the living room.”
Ryan seemed about to say something but held back, keeping silent in the end.
Freya actually knew that what he wanted to say was probably related to today’s incident at the Skaros Building.
But what she needed right now was not comfort, much less sarcasm.
She just wanted some quiet.
Fortunately, Ryan was accommodating this time. He simply said, “Get some rest.” And then he went into the bedroom.
Freya lay on the sofa, tossing and turning for who knew how long before finally falling asleep.
In her haze, she seemed to dream about the scene at the Skaros Building today.
But this time, she was the one standing on the rooftop.
The wind was strong, and the rain was heavy.
The icy rain hit her, and when the cold wind blew, it felt like sharp blades slicing across the skin.
The reporters were all taking pictures of her.

They surrounded her and asked, “Mrs. Grant, what is your view on Mr. Grant and Ms. Stone announcing their engagement?”
Freya’s mind was a mess, and she didn’t know.
A police officer gripped her hand and said, “Whatever the issue is, we can talk it through. Don’t take extreme measures.”
She wasn’t sure why she was standing here; she only asked, “Where is Liam?”
The crowd parted from both sides, forming a path in the middle.
Liam carried Natalie, who was in a white dress, in his arms as he passed by in the distance.
She shouts loudly, “Liam!”
But he acted as if he hadn’t heard, carrying Natalie swiftly through the crowd.
Then, they disappeared into the crowd.
The phone rang suddenly, jolting Freya awake from her dream.
Only then did she realize that Sairo was already pouring with rain tonight.
The window was open, and the sofa was next to the bed. The night wind carried the rain inside, landing on her face and body.
Freya rubbed her aching temples. No wonder she dreamed of being on the rooftop. It was because she got caught in the
rain.

Chapter 97
The phone kept ringing persistently. It was Lily.
Lily is calling me so late? Has the rain started and she didn’t have an umbrella?’ she thought.
She answered, “Lily?”
“Lily?” she called to Lily again.
No one answered.
Freya moved her phone aside to check. The signal was full.
She said, “Lily, can you hear me? What happened so late? Don’t scare me.”
