I stared at the jar for a long time and didn’t know what to say to that.

I didn’t have to wonder about the answer because again he dropped his voice to barely a whisper and I could feel his lips graze the shell of my ear.

His eyes lit up like glowing torches as he answered even though I had not asked a question.

“Exceptions can be made” he said running his index finger over the jar’s lid and circling it aimlessly.

“Why?” I croaked out and he gave me that brilliant smile of his.

I sat up on the bed, utterly horrified.
