It looked like Sarah had completely forgotten about the temple or her life back there because she let her back fall on the bed and sighed.

Why the hell are you coming to the temple to waste your time when you can just sit here and ogle at the pretty fuckable boy?

Sarah asked me for probably the hundredth time, propping her head on one of her hands and looking at me expectantly.

I am the Blessed One. I need to awaken my magic wherever it is hiding and find a way to free Elorin of its curse, and nobody here knows how to help me, so Killian figured maybe the Crone could help me.”

Sarah’s mouth fell open.

He sent you to the temple? Imagine being so sinful and then sending someone every day to a holy place.

I grabbed a pillow and playfully bonked her head.

Enough of your sinful thoughts.” I said, not angrily, and she giggled again.

Alright, alright. I was just trying to get a reaction from you. It is nice to be free sometimes and speak out loud whatever comes into your mind without having to worry about always being decent, polite and a nice girl.

That last line hit too close to home. While my parents were overly strict, they also expected me to behave a certain way.

They were not religious, nor did they make me worship any god, but I was expected to be this docile and sweet, pure girl.

I could only imagine how my mother would react if I spoke such words in front of her. She would probably faint.

I chuckled at that thought as Sarah continued to blabber nonstop.

The topic shifted from Killian, thankfully, to other things and I was not aware of how time flew by as we spent hours and hours chatting with each other.

It was so refreshing and relaxing to have somebody to talk to, somebody other than Mary who was not honor bound to nod her head to everything I said because she was supposed to be my servant.

I had tried to make her comfortable and speak up but she was always afraid to break the rules. And I wanted that for Sarah too, but not with her polluting my mind about Killian.

After she left, I would have to live with him. And I didn’t want to tell her about my endeavours with him.

They were just between me and him. The castle must already be brimming with gossip about us and I didn’t want the temple folks to start one too.

Ohshe slapped her forehead and pulled out something from her gown’s pocket.

This is a herbal salve that should be applied to the aching muscles. It has a calming effect and relaxes your body.

She gave me that small glass jar and closed my hand around the jar before adding in a low whisper.

Maybe get that fuckable prince to massage you or use it as a lub….

Sarah!!I screamed in a scandalized voice and Sarah laughed off heartily upon seeing my reaction.

Your face is redder than that bitch’s when she had to permit me to come with Prince Killian. She could not say no to such a simple request by a royal member because he wasn’t asking entrance in the temple but rather asking me to visit a sick

friend.

She chuckled, and I had to wake Mary up to make something for her because she was craving some castle food.

And I didn’t have the heart to say no to her.

Mary was more than happy to meet her and quickly whipped her some sandwiches and tea.

Sarah was elated to eat castle food even if it was the simplest of stuff and thanked MAry profusely.

Mary was about to leave but I made her sit with us.

It was an odd gathering, but I felt nice to have both these girls around me. They were not just my companions at two places I spent most of my time in but rather my friends.

These sandwiches were simply delicious, Mary. I would have kissed you if you weren’t a girl.”

Sarah said, licking her fingers clean and Mary had a scandalized look on her face as her cheeks flamed red.

I grinned at that and explained.

Dont worry, Mary. She is just a talker. She wasn’t really going to do that

Mary sighed in relief but Sarah raised an eyebrow.

Why is she blushing like that? Are you into that stuff, Mary? I don’t mind if you are, you know. Just to be clear,Sarah clarified, raising an eyebrow, and Mary got up hastily and unnecessarily smoothed down the folds of her gown.

No, no, I am not into that

Sarah nodded thoughtfully as she drained the cup of coffee in a single gulp.

So you are into men then. But how many men have you let inside of you?

I scowled at Sarah and threw a pillow at her, but we both chuckled even as Mary gave me a look as if she had not expected me to giggle at her expense.

Seeing that look, I cleared my throat and corrected myself.

Look, Sarah, you are free to talk whatever you want, but just mind your language a little. We dont want poor Mary to be so

shaken.

Sarah raised her hands in mock surrender and clarified.

Relax girl! I may have a gutter mouth but trust me, I am just an ordinary girl like you. And I will try not to scandalize you every now and then

Mary gave her a wary look and nodded her head.

I would be thankful for that, even as Sarah added cheekily. “Though I won’t be making any promises

Mary frowned, making Sarah chuckle. Sarah was clearly enjoying this too much.

Then she turned to me.

I am sorry to say this, but you have been up for way too long. You need to rest. And so does Sarah.
